Trying to decide between the two popular 80 capacity trays Kodak produced? The Ektagraphic Universal trays and the Transvue BT80 trays are both designed to work with the exact same projectors. The latch mechanism design is a little different on them but both types work well, are durable, and both are "Universal" (they both fit the exact same Carousel and Ektagraphic III projector models). The only real difference is the color, so if you prefer black buy the Ektagraphic Universal tray, if you prefer gray buy the BT80 (Transvue) trays. If you are considering the Kodak 140 capacity trays and your slides are more than 20 years old it can be a bit of a gamble. The Ektagraphic slide projector and trays have been out of manufacture for several years, so I had to buy used equipment. I was upgraded twice from the basic model at no extra cost due to shortage of model I ordered. The projector arrived in excellent condition and worked very well right out of the box. The trays are clean and all in good working order. The lens was upgraded to a premium zoom lens. Excellent!!
