This is a poorly constructed piece of equipment. Having just returned home from Iraq, I think my expectations were too high for this product. It focuses poorly, the IR feature does not work that well. I would tell anybody looking for something like this to spend the extra money and get a better one. I wish somebody had told me that. Ive got a very costly paperweight now.

My son loves this product, he's barely taken it off since we got it a month ago! We did notice that it gives slight tunnel vision, and he does regularly bump into walls, but as he's only 2 1/2 that is to be expected! These are great, I think everyone should have a pair, and then no one needs to be afraid of the dark! And we save on energy because we don't need lights (as often) mind you, you go through a lot of batteries!!!

I got one of this and I really love, its not the best one, you know, but for the price, I paid $91.00 used one. But it works very good out side, in closed area the bright light can really be unpleasant for your eyes. but you really can see in complete darkness so that is the point of the IR. I can see a clock against wall in my living room im complete darkness at 24 four feet. And the diopter has very good focus, very clear picture.This one is better than Yukon NVMT 4x50mm gen 1st (Mfr#24027) because I bought both and returned the Yukon.

This product works very well. It uses 2 AA batteries (alkaline or NiMh rechargeable) instead of what many other night vision scopes use, CRM123 lithium batteries (expensive!). The built-in, switchable infrared illuminator lights objects up like a spotlight (invisible to the naked eye) for around a hundred yards or so, but even without it, most nights you can see pretty much everything. The focus on the main lens is good, and there is an adjustment for you to adjust to your own eye in the eyepiece too. I just received and used this Night Owl nightvision model "NOCX3".This product worked GREAT.I had 3/4 of a moon.Location was a wooded lake area 1:30am.I could see clearly at least 300 ft away.Standard green monochrome view.I messed with the IR a little but really didn't need it.The IR was just like turning on a mag light,effective 100 ft.I was able to turn on the unit and shut off a minute later for approx 20 minutes of sustained usage.Saves battery juice.Limitation,field of view was like looking through a paper towel roll.Small,but you could see everything.This is a great low cost Russian nightvision product.--ks.
