I bought this for a recent snorkeling trip. The camera itself was leak-proof and performed well under water. The photos were quite disappointing though. It did not even come close to doing justice to what we actually saw. Not a very good buy

well i have to say this camera is great it has its and good and bad but beside that it a pretty neat camera to mess around with wish it came with a usb connector but buying film isn't bad

Nice camera and it takes great photos but it bugs me to buy disposable cameras when non-disposables aren't much more expensive. So why did I buy it? Because I left my non-disposable at home when we went on vacation! Not a bad little camera, though.

My main point in writing this review is that you can get this camera for much, much cheaper by buying it used or elsewhere. The Holga is fun and I know many people who swear by it. While I personally have never been extremely into lomography/"plastic fantastic" cameras, if you are this is a good camera and the advantage of using medium format film is wonderful. Also there are scores of websites that will tell you all the ways you can modify your Holga. So have fun! But seriously, there's almost no reason why not to buy this item used. I would not pay more than $20 for it.

I guess you really can't complain about much when it some to the price of this camera. The casing is actually really nice. I took two rolls of film while in Hawaii and thought at least a few pictures would turn out pretty well. Not really, it seems that the flash doesn't always work making most of the pictures too dark to see anything. The one good thing is that if you scan the pictures into a comuter you can fix the color so they do look decent. But, twice the price for printing. Make sure that when you bring the camera under water that you wipe in front of the lens (little bubbles gather in the yellow circle). I have neevr tried disposable underwater cameras, so I have nothing to compare to. It's better than nothing I guess.

I gotta say, this company sure does great marketing... but their products aren't that good. I have this camera, and only 7 of the lenses ever work. Most of the time it is one lens thats broken, but mysteriously, sometimes it will fire while another one won't open. That would all be fine, except for the lens itself is complete garbage. The images are dull and a little blurred. Yes I used it in bright sunlight. Yes, the lens just sucks. Also, the exposures completely vary between lenses, so some frames are blown out, while others are underexposed. Seems like a fun idea, ultimately a waste of time and money.

This little critter is a Blast! LOTS of fun. You will need to buy your film in five packs, it's that much fun to shoot with. Hopefully your SuperSampler will last through all five rolls! Mine died after only three rolls run through it. I sent it back to the Lomographic Folks and was pretty promptly sent a new one at no charge. Nice Folks, Nice Camera. No Complaints. Catalog under "insane fun" department and keep an eye out for a used one ($50 for the new ones, Ouch!). Good Luck With Yours ... I carry mine with me on all trips.

We used this camera to swim with the manatees and we ended up trashing most of the pictures. Because we weren't in super super clear water like in Hawaii, the pictures didn't turn out that great even though there's a flash. The water was clear enough where I thought the pictures would turn out better since we used a disposable camera without flash the last time we were in Crystal Rive, FL. We were very disappointed since all the reviews were really good for this camera.
