I looked at many Cameras before I purchased this camera. It is all very confusing. I am satisfied with my purchase. The price was good . I like the size also. The only 2 downfalls i have found is it is slow to focus before you take a picture and sometimes I have trouble hitting a button on the back of my camera unintentionally. I would reccomend this camera.

I have the camera for a few days and my experience is sos so okay. It is not spectacular nor great but bad either. The camera has a good interface on screen and the flash does its job once you have figured out working around some standard settings. The view finder is useless as it is the size of a pin head. Canon could have got rid of that feature. Thankfully the display works well, also outside in the sun. Picture quality is as you would expect of Canon. I wonder when Canon improves on the battery indication level as now it only shows up when it is almost time to recharge/replace the battery. When you are out on a trip that can be a bit of a problem. Has more than what you would expect from a point and shoot camera. Photos have been rewarding. I happen to loose the charger at the airport, the replacement charger is quite expensive.

I am very happy with the purchase of this camera. I got a good price for a brand new camera. It was delivered very fast. I am still learning how to use the camera better. There are a lot of different functions. So far it takes great pictures. It has amazing zoom.

There's really nothing more that I can add to the already excellent reviews...except to just echo what just about everyone is saying -- this is a great camera. In fact, in the sub-$1000 range, I don't think you could possibly buy another one. I checked three or four of the leading photo magazines and e-zines....and they all rave about this baby. And I have to say, I agree. I use to shoot for fun with my old Canon AE-1, which started back in high school in the late 80's. The Canon Digital Rebel Canon EOS Silver Digital Rebel XTi 10.1 MP SLR Digital Camera with Canon 18-55mm EF-S Lens + 1GB Pro Accessory Kit I bought a couple of years ago came with a basic 18-55 mm lens that works OK but doesn't begin to do justice to the capabilities of this great camera. So if you get the camera, don't walk, run to your computer and order the EFS 55-250 mm lens. The lens has come down in price a lot since I bought the camera. The image stabilization technology is phenomenal. I've taken some spectacular twilight and indoor shots with the camera in no-flash mode without a tripod. The lens adds a lot of weight to the camera--about 7 oz. as compared to the standard lens (with telephoto camera weighs 2 lbs. 3 oz.) but it's well worth it. Highly recommended.

This is a great looking camera and a nice size. I was replacing my aging panasonic camera and hoping that the pictures would be noticeably better, especially with double the mega pixels and dual antishake. But the pictures were very similar to my older camera and the antishake didn't seem to work at all. It may be that I didn't keep the camera long enough to figure out the best settings or that I got a defective one but I did return it and bought a Canon Elph instead. It's a SD850is and takes great pictures and was about the same price as the Sony. The canon has a flimsy plastic cover over the usb port that keeps popping open so I guess there is no perfect point and shoot but the pictures are very good and the digital macro lets you get as close as you possibly can.

I took this lens to the zoo last week, and got some great shots of the animals. I found out that I really should have used a tripod or a monopod for some of the zoomed-in photos, but live and learn. I'm very happy with the quality of the construction.

There are so many things that I like about this camera: -small size. I didn't realize that it's smaller than the Sony W series of which I have owned a few. The Sony's are great, but the NIkon S600 is better if you want the smallest form factor with the best image quality. I also owned the Sony T200 and now I realized that Sony calling it ultra-slim is quite a joke since it really is bigger than the Nikon S cameras. -Great image quality. I love the quality of the photos this little camera takes. I love vivid colors and I use the vivid settings all the time, and it gives me the right amount of color saturation and contrast to make my pics pop! The sharpness is also excellent. -Great lens.
