I received the tripod and quickly saw that it was not of a very high quality construction. I had concerns of how long the grips that hold the leg extensions would hold up,and I did not like that there is a removable piece that connects the camera to the tripod head. The lock mechanism for that piece also concerned me that it may not hold up over time. I guess the tripod is functional for the price but the value may not hold up if you need to buy a replacement tripod.

This is really neat, but not terribly useful. I loved it at first but after a while I lost interest and unless you have a camera that can take pictures via remote you have to use the self timer. Though the self timer is easy enough for me to do, my mom, dad or wife seem to be a bit more intimidated by this step. So for casual users who are comfortable with the self timer and who do not mind leaving a big stick stuck to their camera or who do not mind carrying this thing around with them for spontaneous use, then this is a great little tool. The Velbon DF 60 is a good mid-weight stand for the money. The material and moving parts have proved appropriate. Light weight, but durable.

For a hobbyist-amateur like me, this tripod is just right. Light enough, steady/solid enough, easy enough to use, and certainly cheap enough! I don't know that I'd use this on a cliff, rough terrain, or in high winds, but for family portraits and my kids' sporting events, this will do just fine.

I recently purchased this tripod and have to say that we are delighted with it's quality and versatility. For the price, I would not have expected an item of this standard - You can probably pay a ton more and end up less satisfied than we are.

Easily fits in my small case where extra battery/memory cards go. Barely bigger than the base of my Canon SD850. Very flexible as far as setting up for timed shots.

I use it for a DVD recorder and a camera. It is a nice solidly made tripod. It is simple to use and stores away nicely. I would purchase it again.

This is just what i wanted. I've looked at higher costing higher quality tripods and I just couldn't justify spending the money. This tripod is excellent quality dont get me wrong, it's very sturdy and works great. I love the fact that it is lightweight and easy to transport, just what i needed.
