I bought this meter because I bought a manual focus lens for my Nikon D50. This camera body does not meter with the old manual lenses. After a week of using it, I can say it performs well. It offers incident and reflected measurements. However, to switch from incident to reflected, you have to take off the lumisphere and mount the lumigrid. It offers shutter and aperture priority modes. I prefer aperture priority-choose an aperture, and the meter selects a shutter speed. You can choose 2 ISO settings. The meter will stay on ISO 1 until you push ISO 2 for a brief reading. When you let go of the ISO 2 button, it goes back to ISO 1. The Sekonic L-358 also does flash metering(reflected and incident). When I purchased this I was skeptical about the product due to some of the reviews, but I figured I couldn't go wrong because of the two batteries included with kit. As far as I'm concerned, two batteries is what I got out of this. I wanted a grip that would make shooting in portrait orientation more comfortable, but this grip is too slick to hold onto comfortably and confidently. While I haven't bought the Nikon grip yet, I tried it in a camera shop. I can believe the Nikon and Opteka are formed in the same molds, but the Nikon was definitely made of a denser plastic. More importantly the Nikon has a rubberized surface on the front for an improved grip on the camera. That's really all the Opteka product is missing, but it's a big deal. I take pictures for an orthodontists, and this has drastically improved the lighting on my photos. Its great for close up pictures. I use this in conjunction with a Cannon Rebel XT and a 60mm lens.

This is a great multi-use clamp. I love that I can put my nikon sb-800 flash unit on it (or canon if you have a canon speed lite), or use it to clamp things down. It can also be used on a light stand which helps when you need an "extra hand" for off camera shooting. It's versatility gives it a five stars in my book!

The diffuser fits perfectly in my 580EXII, it has 1 small wing on each side and the front panel has a light spreading pattern. I would like this to fit tighter as it gives the feeling it could easily fall.

Overall this swivel holder does it's job quite well. However, like most products, there are flaws to it (easily fixable). The first noticable one is the adapter position. The correct way a mount should be designed is that the stationary portion would located on the bottom, and the adjustable portion would be located on the top. When you first open the box, the portion that holds onto the umbrella is located on the bottom where it cannot be adjusted. This means that if you mount it on, the umbrella stays in one place while you are still able to move the top swivel for the flash. This is incorrect. The umbrella should move with the flash simulataneious. I was able to correct this by simply pulling out the two metal adapters and switching sides with one another. You just have to pull ... I'm a wedding photographer by profession. I put off buying this because it was so expensive and I was doing just fine carrying extra batteries and changing them when I noticed they were running low. I purchased it the other day because I was getting sick of missing 1 or 2 out of 5 pictures in quick-sequence shots (bouquet-tossing, cake cutting, etc). After just one shoot, I have completely fallen in love with it. I was able to fire off sequences without missing anything, it recycles my flash supremely quickly and I only wish I'd bought it sooner. I will actually be getting rid of my 430ex backup flash so that I have two flashes that are compatible with this.
