Projects well.. light weight, easy to carry and set up. Instructs over simplified. Troubleshooting tips lacking. I hit pause and was unable to get a picture back. It appears that the only way to get the picture back is to unplug and s tart all over.

We have a custom studio with many monitors, a printer and a projector. Our Spyder is long in the tooth and won't do projectors, hence the Munki.

Numerous other posters complained about the crummy software, but didn't dissuade me because I never saw all the problems listed in one place. Here we go:
Disc doesn't have actual code, just sends you to their site to download 250MB of file.
Link didn't work, had to go directly there to get it. Download gagged twice before success.
Limited to load on 3 machines, which is not enough for us, but I figured a way to cheat it.
No "CRT" choice in cal menu, use LCD.
Only 3 fixed color temps.
Won't handle multiple monitors in Win XP without a prog from MS called Color Tool.
No gamma control.

Installed this projector to replace an InFocus SP4805 projector, and I'm in love. This projector offers everything you need for a a quick and easy home theater setup. It's insanely quiet. The first time I turned it on, I didn't realize it was working because I couldn't hear it. That's a huge change from my old InFocus. It's bright, and gave a fine picture in the middle of the day. The contrast is great, and the color is as accurate as I have seen in a sub $1000 projector. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a good value.

I searched and compared projectors for a long time before settling on this one. I need a highly portable, easily set-up, projector for slideshows, movies, presentations, and the occasional killer gaming session. I'm not using it for home theatre or anything high-tech. So far I'm very satisfied. It's easy to set up with basic electronic A/V knowledge. It's less confusing than other projectors I've worked with, and the A/V mute and instant on/off are particularly handy. The remote does just about everything too. My big problem is that it has USB connectivity to a computer, Plug-n-play!!, but only for PCs! As a Mac user I was frustrated that it did not say ANYTHING about this in the specs until I opened the box. Especially frustrating is that earlier models seemed to have good connectivity with Macs, so I don't ... Read More

This is my first projector, although I'd tried 2 others that I borrowed from church and work. This is also my first experience with HiDef. At first, I connected it with the yellow composite conection, and the picture needed to be toned down, reducing the brightness of the white that was blown out with the factory setting and increasing the sharpness. The picture was just "ok", but of course huge. S Video gave similar results. Hooking it up to a laptop to watch a DVD though, was INCREDIBLE! Using the vga connection @ 1024x768 looked absolutely amazing. Then to top it all off, using a home made breakout cable following instructions online with rca jacks, cat 5 cable and a 3$ radio shack part, I connected the FIOS set top box using component to vga, and was impressed even more with 1080i. I can't go back ... Read More

The whole concept of PICO projectors is very new. I did a bit of research before deciding to buy a PICO projector and the following conclusions made me ultimately purchase this product:

-I'm an early adopter
-I'm tech savy
-I'm mobile
-I love gadgets
-I like to be the first to try something out

There are many applications for this product, but before I go into my uses and thoughts I should point out that this device does take a certain knowledge concepts like JPEG, MPEG, MP3 and file conversion. You don't have to be a tech genius to work this device at all, but it helps to have a basic understanding.

Overall, this product delivers on the concept of having a reliable, portable, multi-format projector in an extremely compact size. It's about the size ... Read More

I don't have too much to add on what other people have said - it's a great projector. My projector-owning friends compared it quite favorably with the ones they own... it just has such bright, crisp images. I was very happy with my purchase.

However - the other day, after about one year and 290 hours of use (I am not a heavy user!), something was clearly wrong with the image. The colors were not saturated, the image was dull... brightness was lacking. One more evening of that, and then it wouldn't start up - the "Lamp" indicator light was flashing. I will be ordering a new lamp, but it's far from cheap. I'm pretty upset, as I don't think I did anything in particular to make it die so early.

Hopefully this serves as a cautionary tale for those considering this product.

I looked at just about every projector possible for a budgeted home theater room in my home and this one is what I settled on. It has been very good. It is incredibly easy to set up and user friendly. Very lightweight too. I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting an inexpensive solution to either a home theater projector or a business presentation projector.
