I found that by using the 0737C lens the picture or photo's resolution reduced greatly.

if you've purchased a hf-10 or hf-11, i will assume you are pretty serious about video or at least serious as an amateur. i purchased this item based on reviews and interest for shooting groups, landscapes etc. IMHO, this is a must have for the camera. I never take it off. so since you've made the investment to take great video, it's highly worth it to pick up this item.

So, I decided to purchase the Sony VCL-0630X wide lens for my Sony DVD405 camcorder (The camcorder is also a camera). It was a wise decision. It produced a wider shot of the rooms. Normal photos can make a room look smaller than it really is. The wide lens made enough of a difference to be worth the purchase. I also priced around, and found it priced the lowest on Amazon.com.

I got this lense for my new Canon DC50 and it performs as advertised. These days that fact alone can be very impressive.

I'm using a Sony DCR-HC96 MiniDV 3.3MP Digital Handycam Camcorder with 10x Optical Zoom and when I wanted to film a marching band, I was just not getting a wide enough image (I was having to pan back and forth more than I wanted). So I bought a Sony VCLHA07A Wide Conversion Lens for Sony MiniDV & Hi8 Camcorders and have been very pleased with the results. It screws right into the front of the Handycam. It comes with 2 adapters in the event your Handycam is slightly different. You don't need to remove the existing lens, you just find the right adapter (supplied) and screw it together. I was slightly disappointed with this wide angle lens. After supper gluing it to my eyeball, I found my vision to be somewhat blurry, driving was almost impossible and removing it was quite painful. Two thumbs down. :-(
