My husband and I have been devoted Mac users for years and have owned at least 8 Apple computers and several Apple peripherals. Quite frankly I didn't think we would be writing any adverse review for any Apple product. But here I am doing just that and simply stated I would recommend that any of you considering this MacBook and who also rely heavily on wireless connectivity for your laptop to delay your purchase indefinitely until Apple has resolved an inherent wireless connectivity problem with OS 10.5.5. I use this MacBook as my kitchen work station and rely completely on our wireless LAN (Apple Airport) as I have no ethernet port in the kitchen area of our house. This is a great camera for someone wanting to get started in professional digital SLR photography. It's going to be a great backup camera for us as well, it does decent in low light and not much issue with noise, though 3200ISO is pretty much unusable due to the high noise, but 1600ISO is quite acceptable if you have to get the shot. Great price now too and well worth it. Though I don't understand why people buy these cameras thinking they'll do better than a point and shoot if they're never going to take it out of Auto mode, and never going to by an external flash. If you plan on using this camera like a point and shoot consider getting the G10 instead, as it's an awesome little pocket camera and does right for the job! :)

The lens is suprisingly easy to handle and hold. Canon has kept the weight to a minimum. The image stabilization works very well and the lens takes very good handheld photos. Selected this lens over the shorter telephoto with a 1.6x, because of the much better weight disbursement.

This is a great camera! At 400 ISO and below it takes amazingly detailed pictures without any visable noise even if photos are cropped. The learning curve to use the custom functions is a bit steep, however. It comes with a thick manual and I'm still learning all the functions. I already had a lot of 35mm pentax lenses and its compatiblity with my existing lenses are the main reason I chose this camera over another make. It works great with A series lenses with the lense set to the Auto setting. When the lense apeture ring is set to a F-stop setting manually or if you are using an older lense without the Auto setting, you have to go into the camera's custom setting program and enable the camera for use with the apeture ring set manually for the camera to function. The lens can be found on my camera 80% of the time. As a wedding photographer the range is great for tight spaces where brides get ready and reception shots. The 2.8 aperture is great and where I keep it most of the time. Why a 4 instead of 5? Does need to be serviced at least once a year to keep focusing sharp. Canon factory repair can service it no problem and then it focus' beautifully. Before I send it in I notice it back focusing.

This is my work horse lens in low light. It is amazing no matter which camera body I stick it on (20D, 30D or 5D) and is super sharp. One of my favorites. It is heavy but so worth it. :)
