This product is working great for me. I can rest assure that my baby is safe asleep with using this monitor. I don't have to worry about checking on her frequently. The video image is great on the monitor. Only sometime I have bad reception but most of the time is good.

The video quality is adequate for what it's for. I don't plan to make movies with it. I like being able to see the front and back of my house. However, the user manual is worthless. The biggest drawback is that the wireless cameras totally knock out my wireless home network. Laptops put next to the access point can't find a signal. It uses the same 2.4 GHz band as home routers. Swann said there is no solution, buy a wired system. Defeats the convenience feature, doesn't it? It could possibly interrupt your neighbor's as well. This must go for any other wireless system. I gave this product a low score because of the wireless network problem.

After a failure in less than 3 weeks with a NEW wireless ASTAK Multi Camera system I have learned a lot. Maybe I should list them as I found them. ----With the wireless, every foot away from the receiver AND the positioning of its antenna severely effects the performance. It is so important, it can cause complete loss of any usable bright daytime image from reaching your monitor even in a small distance of just 60 feet or LESS. ----If you have any type of wireless network in your home for computer with Cable or DSL, GOOD LUCK! We hooked it up and got heavy interference from the wi-fi network. Turned the wi-fi off and the interference went away - but reception was still not perfect. Also, the fact you have to take the batteries out to plug in the adapter on the receiver makes this a sub-par system. Luckily there are (finally!) better products out there now! 3 years ago when we had our first baby, the options for video monitors were very slim. We now have a safety 1st 900 mhz set up that has great picture and good sound, and zero interference from the wi-fi (though it does not have outstanding reception). Look around and you'll find a better option.

Purchased these to have a little more security around my house. The intent was to eventually hook the cameras up to be recorded. However this will not be done, as I can only record one channel with these cameras. I have the choice of flipping between cameras or having all four on the screen at the same time. I will be purchasing something else in the future. For now, this are a good deterrent. I will note that when there is an electric storm, and one of the camera picks up the lightening, the alarm goes off because the system thinks one of the cameras has been disconnected. I installed this camera on the roof in September 2007, and it still performs well after a hard winter. The specs say it will work down to 32 degrees (f), but if worked well even though we had numerous days below zero. it never seemed to be bothered by the brutal winds or temps. The camera had exposure to snow and rain, and more snow, and now rain rain rain rain and freezing rain! the camera is shielded from the north wind, and sits approx 3 feet under a small overhang, but the lens of the cam is not protected by this overhang. I love this system. We had another brand summer infant and I always had horrible reception. I get perfect crystal clear reception throughout most of the house. The only problem area is the kitchen so I just leave it in the family room. It does make a lot of noise when the microwave is on so I just turn the volume down while using the microwave. I have had the camera for over a year now and it is still working perfect! In fact I just bought another "eye" for in my sons room and I am getting rid of the other monitor altogether.

I bought this camera based on its specs, which appeared to be pretty good. However, there is a glaring problem between the Amazon description, and the one printed on the package. The Amazon description reads "lets you see up to 100 feet (30 meters) in total darkness". The packaging clearly reads "the 11 infra-red LEDs project invisible light up to 2-3m/6-9ft". I don't know about anybody else, but I find there is a big difference between 9 feet and 100 feet! I haven't actually tried the camera outside, to see how far it will be able to record images in the dark, but I was expecting 100 feet when I bought it (paid extra for that). I'm probably going to have to buy a different camera now - one that will work at a greater distance in the dark.
