This system works great. I know it says weatherproof, but some people think weatherproof means waterproof. It is not the same. Weatherproof and waterproof are two different things. I have had my camera outside for a year. It hangs under the eave of the garage and it has withstood 2 tropical storms and a multitude of rain storms. I can see and hear everything. I can even read the license plate numbers of my car without the outside porch light on. By the way I bought another camera and put it on top of my house. Waterproof? No. I spent $1.08 to get a clear bird feeder that I turned into a camera housing. That camera still works - 1 year and going strong. Hope this helps. Quint

I read the reviews that mentioned the center being blank, but didn't realize how bad it would be. I paid $20 less at Harbor Freight for a smaller camera and get a much clearer picture with no blank center and which, additionally, has sound. I wouldn't buy this product again. For security purposes, this leaves too large an area blank, and I have no way, as one reviewer mentioned, to correct it with the equipment I own. However, the seller did get the item to me in a timely manner, and I've decided to use it to try to see the animals in my backyard at night so I didn't try to contact him to return it.

I'm using 2 of these and ordering a 3rd now. The camera gives very good image, it's prety sensitive in low-light. Because it's a B/W model, there is much less noise than on color cameras.

There is very little room to adjust the camera after you mount the dome. There is a screw that adjust the swivel, but its under the camera lens. Once you mount the dome, if you move the lens you move the screw and you cant tighten it. So the lens just moves around due to the tension in the wires. The bubble dome attaches using a shift lock similar to that of a cd spindles. If you do manage to get the lens just right, chances are the dome will not line up with the lens. Picture is ok for $25. Focus point is very close 10' or so. Anything further and you will not get a good look at whatever it is.

Item is a good purchase, but the picture shown with item description is not correct. Monitor can not show all four cameras at the same time. It can scan through each one, showing one at a time. Adjustable from 5 to 30 seconds for each camera.

The camera has very good night vision compared to the outdoor IR camera that came with my system. It's a great camera. I've got it refurbished from Amazon for 50% of the price. Mine came silver, no "MACE" logo. You need a video/power cable, so it's extra 15-20$, but the picture is great. When my $50 CMOS camera switches to infrared BW mode, this is one keeps working in color and showing good picture. If you have a little bit of light around your house, this one is the way to go, you don't need these IR light at all and still get better picture. No red glow from IR, good angle - doesn't attract attention.
