Basically both hardware and software on this thing are poor. You can see individual pixels which makes the images blocky. Doesn't always recognize the JPEGs on my cards. The sound quality is mediocre at best. The finish is cheap and plasticky. I returned it the very day I opened the box. It is a pity that you can't play music as the photos are being shown. You can only do things one at a time.

My boyfriend's been looking for a B&W copy of this in DVD format - and this has both! A nice surprise!

I picked this Digital Photo Frame up at a local retailer for just under $50. For the price it's not a bad buy. I don't own any other digital frames, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but here goes... Firstly, the black really does go with almost any decor. The bad thing is, dust seems to go very very well with the black. I find myself dusting this thing daily to keep it looking nice and shiny. Next up is the input options, including SD, Memory Stick and USB. I'm pretty impressed that something this inexpensive can take any of those three formats, honestly. Placement is the issue. The solution is to hang the turtle from fishing string or another fine, strong string and use the turtle like a mobile. The images are perfect, and center room placement is no longer a problem.

There are a ton of cheaper digital picture frames from all sorts of companies I never heard of, but you can always count on Sony. Somewhat more expensive for it's size, but it works perfectly right out of the box. There are a few poor reviews here that claim pictures that have been edited don't work, but that's not my experience. I exported a couple of hundred images from Lightroom 2.0 to an SD card, plugged it into the frame, and they display perfectly. The display is bright and sharp with nice accurate color. The images I used were originally high-resolution scans of slides (from a Nikon film scanner). All have been cropped and adjusted in Lightroom, and some touched up further in Photoshop CS3. The BAD: I have never tried so hard to get something open ! The metal ends of the tubes are near impossible to get off. First I broke a nail, then I cut my finger with a butter knife while trying to pry it open. The GOOD: Once you finally get them open, the scents are fabulous ! The winter forest smells just like freshly cut Christmas trees. I wasn't sure about the candy cane at first, but now that I've lived with it for a few days, I love it. The Holiday Spice is my absolute favorite, as the scent reminds me of homemade Holiday treats. Overall: I definitely recommend this product, but beware of the very difficult to open packaging. I had no problem with leakage, so I'm very happy with this purchase. I'll be looking for other scents to go on sale throughout the year.

I must confess that I generally prefer darker roasts, but even so...these K-cups tasted like slightly flavored hot water. I'm ever-so-slowly finishing them off when I want coffee but don't want a lot of caffeine. I won't be buying these again. I recommend Timothy's or Coffee People instead.

It works great. I keep in on my desk and have about 200 photos on my memory card. That is the only thing I did not like, I had to buy a new memory card but for the price I could not expect them to give me one with the frame. A+ Overall

Smartparts SPX12 - Digital photo frame - flash 256 MB - 12.1" I've been fiddling with the SPX12 for 4 hours now. Its not for the faint of heart and not worth the money. I purchased it for pics and video for my Mom. The pics side is ok. It does the job as expected. The video side, at least on this one, is worthless. Does not play 8 out of 10 movies I've tried. No AVI's. Will play a couple of MOV's. I've tried to rescale the videos down to screen size, saving AVI's as MOV's, re-saving MOV's and exporting them in 3 different apps to a new MOV file. Nothing. I'll pit this sharpener up against any of the expensive contraptions. When the cutting edges wear out after 30 or 40 sharpenings, reverse the edges. When it wears out, so what. Just buy another one and you are still dollars ahead of anything else.
