I purchased this on 05/28/08 as a last resort for an out of control German Shepherd/collie mix. She was constantly bitting (in a playful manner, but at 72 pounds, it doesnt feel playful), jumping, chasing animals/cars/people, running into the middle of the street, and barking nonstop! I am happy to say that after the first few uses (it took her a couple times to associate the noise/shock with bad behavior, she is now very sweet and very well behaved. For about the past 2 weeks we have even been able to take her into the yard and area around the house without a leash. The device vibrated and made an annoying sound. It didn't scare off my cat, but it annoyed me. After a while I started to get used to it and would have kept this product, except that it started to overflow. This happened to me twice and I just returned it. I may have gotten a bad one, but I was not pleased with this water dish.

My 20 1/2 year old cat began to have the smell of death. It was not pleasant. My husband said her stomach was rotting. Now I understand why some old people smell bad. I bought this for my 9 month old Lab puppy, and she absolutely loved it. Once she got up the nerve to grab it with her mouth, it unfortunately was all over in less than 48 hours. I read that this was not a chew toy, and my dog didn't actually chew it, however she would pick it up and bite the knobs which came off. I bought this because it stated that this was dog-proofed and reinforced, which in my opinion is not the case. The glue that held the knobs on was cheap and looked aged. I tried to pull a knob off myself before I threw this away, and sure enough with very little effort it popped right out. This is not worth your money unless you have a toy-sized dog, and even then I still wouldn't recommend this due to the choking hazard this can obviously cause. I have been feeding our dogs Greenie bones since they first came out and we have NEVER had a problem. I have German Shepards, Dobermans and medium sized hound dogs. They all love their GB's and I find that because our Dobie tends to be a "garbage belly" (meaning she'll eat anything!), so sometimes she doesn't smell as nice as she should, really benefits from the "green" in Greenie Bones. I would like to know where "E. Antic" gets his/her information from.....as I can find nothing that says they are "deadly", except for those people that haven't done responsible research (not just hearsay from some list). If your dogs are gulpers or greedy chewers, then I wouldn't feed them ANYTHING, especially RAWHIDE, that could be gulped and swallowed in large pieces or whole. They are fine....I guess nobody is perfect.....had to end up drilling them to the wall & baseboard because my daughter kept on shaking them and we were affraid they were going to colapse! Now they are fine....who knows until when!
