For the most part, my cat used the box but he didn't like it. Eventually, he decided the floor was better than going through the hole in the top. But, the reason I got this box was for my dog-to keep him out of the litter box. Well, he just learned to stick his head through the hole. When he pulled his head out, the lid would just hang around his neck. It didn't work for us.

I bought this item because I couldn't stand the way my kitties' litter box looked or smelled. Also, one of my kitties loves to dig a lot and I had kitty litter all over my living room. This litter box was the perfect solution! It conceals the litter perfectly, it's roomy enough for my cats (& they seem to enjoy the privacy) and I have way less kitty litter splattered all over the floor. Plus, it reduces the smell of the urine. You can still smell the poop, but not as strong as with an ordinary box. My only beef is the big fake plant on top. It looks fine, but my it spreads out pretty wide and my cat thinks it is real and chews on the plastic leaves. Oh well!

I became familiar with the Poop Patrol Jaw Scoop while volunteering with our local humane shelter. After the first time I saw it used, I knew I needed one for our house. It arrived quickly and is easy to use. Can't believe I've now become a poop scooper myself instead of tip toeing through the yard. It's great!

Anyone who owns a booda litter box knows how hard it is to find liners. I thought being made by booda, the liners would fit it to a tee and be tough. Wrong. The liners are pretty flimsy and tear very easily. When you first take it out of the bag you notice how thin it is but i still wanted to give it a try. I didn't trust the strength of it too much so I used 2. Well this was a good thing because within the week the first liner tore and my cat doesn't even have claws. I know I was also very careful using the scoop so as not to tear the liner as I read from another's post that that is what happened so I know it wasn't the scoop. This is my favorite pad. It is very absorbent and padded well. I use them for my 8 year old chihuahuas!

If your pet engages in, er, "inappropriate elimination," normal cleaners don't do the trick to get the smell out. This stuff works pretty well, although it seems to take a few days for the smell to really fade. I believe there are other similar products that may work just as well, but I liked this one because I was able to purchase it for a good price ... and I got a handheld UV light at the same time. I got a kick out of crawling around the house like Grissom from CSI, looking for all the cat pee. Of course, the thrill of that activity wears thin after a while.

Although the size is clearly indicated in the description, I have since discovered that even for a very small puppy this size isn't sufficient. We have a two pound yorkiepoo and this size pad is not recommended by me if you are going to leave your dog alone even for only a couple of hours. I would definitely recommend the next size up, as we have found that our little yorkie"POO" can make quite a mess in just a short while. They have to step onto the pad, and once they have eliminated once, they will step in whatever is already there as the pad is not as absorbant as I would have wanted.

good litter box, however I had to purchase an upgrade on the motor and rake from the manufacturer. I would recommend buying the deluxe version. Without the upgrade the rake sticks and the motor jambs.

You sure can teach an old dog a new trick! My dog, Greta, who is old, half blind and slow moving immediately took to this pad holder. No more messes on the floor because the pads would leak. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has a dog that stays home alone while you are away at work. It is well made and stays in place on the floor. Other pad holders I looked at were very cheap in materials and flimsy. This one has snap closures on the sides to keep the pad flat and from moving around when the dog steps on it. Buy it, it is well worth the money.
