I have 5 cats with a 6th coming in soon and I have a "litter room" with multiple boxes. I replaced a smaller box with this one and my cats took to it immediately - it is easily the one used the most. The box is very big and deep and seems relatively easy to scoop because the pee does not stick to the bottom as much. I am going to buy another one from Amazon who has a great price. For "serious" cat people this is highly recommended.

I purchased several different size litter pans from this manufacturer. They are nice quality and no-frills. They clean up well. If you are looking for just a plain litter box, this pan is a good deal in any size.

Originally, we didn't purchase the dome but intended to in the future. When the utility and ease of use of the Cat Genie became apparent, we purchased the dome. It comes with the extension ring, so it shouldn't be purchased separately, unless you don't intend to get the dome later. The cat really likes to get into small spaces, so really likes his box with the dome. Since we have the Cat Genie in a bathroom, it also dresses it up a bit and disguises the system's purpose somewhat for our guests.

We have 3 cats, and usually use 2 extra-large sized cat pans (the equivalent of 4 of the regular sized ones). We replaced one of the pans with this LitterMaid. It's nice, but there are some problems. First, I just want to ask who thought the name "Elite Mega Ultimate" was a good idea? It sounds ridiculous. Pick one adjective, don't use 3 on top of each other. Anyway, on to the machine. The assembly was quite irritating as the instructions were very unclear. There were 2 sets of instructions, one "quick set up" and one regular booklet, and you had to combine the information in both to get a vague idea of what to do. The sidewalls definitely help keep the granules in the tub, but some still get out - I think mostly in the fur of my longhaired cat.

After purchasing the booda dome, I realized that using the filters make this litter pan/box a total success! Very little litter makes it outside the box due to the interior ramp, and after trying the pan out without this charcoal filter and then with, does indeed make a difference in odor control.

I'm sorry to say I didn't like it because I keep finding cat pee underneath the litter pan which means I have to keep washing the inside of the cat washroom. I'm not sure if it was my cat but I went back to the Boodadome because it's easy and contains the cat waste. If anyone's interested in buying my cat washroom, email me at effdee2 with the at symbol then yahoo followed by dot com. I can send photos of it then disassemble and ship it. Otherwise if there's no interest, it's going to the local Goodwill.

I was becoming increasingly frustrated with having to sweep up messy cat litter every other day, especially when it combined with water from the tub to become a melty mess. So, I did a little searching and bought the Sage King Soft Touch Track Mat. Thus far, I've been impressed with this mat. It's really different from traditional rubber or fabric mats. The Soft Touch Track Mat it made of two parts: the top grill where a cat steps, the base which is a tray.
