This started as a cool new home for my son's first pet, but our sirian started nesting in the wheel the first night. No matter how many times I emptied the bedding, she went right back to storing food and bedding in the wheel. Every time she went for a run, shavings, seeds, and poop went everywhere! I swapped her out fof the basic Critter Trail without the wheel on top, but that one has a very small wheel and it is not big enough for our sirian. Now I have to buy more stuff... sigh.

I've been using one of these thermostats for over 10 years, and i've never had any reptile product that I've enjoyed so much. Extremely easy to set up and use, this unit allows you to cycle a heat lamp or ceramic heater (or a matt or heat tape for that matter) on and off at the optimal temperature. You can easily set it to turn off at a lower temperature for a night drop, necessary for many species. The unit is also very easy to mount, and the probe is at the end of a long, thin black cord which is completely unobtrusive in any terrarium or cage setting.

These have been hard for me to find, they fit my tank filter great and have been keeping the water very clean. I have heard no complaints from the occupants.

I purchased two of these one for myself and another for my brother. We both love it. It has made cleaning our tanks so much easier. I was constantly spilling water as I used a manual gravel cleaner siphon & a bucket. Not to mention that it took so much longer. Do yourself a favor and get it now!

I bought this item less than 6 months ago, and have gone through two motors for the filter. Every time I try to contact the company, they do not respond back. I am giving it to the trash gods!! DO NOT BUY this item if you dont want to have to replace the motor every 3 months. I am very disappointed in this tank. I had looked everywhere to find this crate in the older style model which the company changed about a year ago. The description when I ordered it said it had the stake tie down straps which is specifically what I wanted to secure crates on a rack in my van for travel to shows and the pictures showed the larger mesh window areas of the older model which provide better ventilation. What I got was the newer model which doesn't have tie down straps and has smaller mesh windows. The picture still shows the larger mesh window area and stake tie down straps, which is not what the newer model has. The description has now been changed to reflect the newer mode, but picture has not been changed. Amazon should make sure their pictures and description reflect exactly what they are selling!
