Compared to other ear cleaners which make the dogs flap their heads even more when it goes in, this one has a pleasant smell and seems to be soothing to them as they dont flap but once when you put it in. keeps the ears clean and smelling good - - excellent purchase especially for the price - best ear cleaner on the market that I've found in 10 years.

I have a kitten that had discharge coming from her eyes and nose, and was sneezing often. My vet suggested I try Viralys, and showed me at her office how much I should use and how to administer it. We both noticed that my kitten was not pleased but decided I would try it given the vet's experience with the product. Unfortunately, it has been very difficult to administer to my cat. She does not like the taste, even when mixed with wet food (she leaves it alone). I tried putting some on her paws but once she tasted it, she left it alone. I have used this product on two geriatric dogs with arthritis and one adult dog with hip dsyplasia for a year, and I can attest to the fact that it works. It is not an instantaneous cure... it takes about two weeks to kick in, but once it does, it makes the difference between your dogs being able to walk versus not being able to get up. It also is not cheap, but I believe you get what you pay for (though I wouldn't mind a coupon once in a while). I use the granules, and at first you start with two scoops a day and put it right in their dog food with a little water, then once you start seeing results, you can cut back to one scoop a day. I know it works because a couple of times I ran out, and a few days later, my dogs were feeling it and showing it.

Several years ago our black Lab Roxie tore a ligament jumping/twisting, had surgery and has a plastic ligament in her hind leg. The vet prescribed Glyco-Flex 600 mg and she's recovered all movement. This past summer she must have twisted again and couldn't walk on the other hind leg. The vet said it was a tendon that wasn't completely torn and should heal itself in 2 months if she's kept off of it most of the time. Roxie has indeed totally recovered--no stiffness after lying down as well--and she's an active 7 yr old that runs and plays with Liz, our 2 yr old black Lab that still has a puppy brain.
