After many dollars spent on groomers, I decided to purchase the Oster A5 clipper for my two bichon mix dogs. I did lots of reseach before the purchase. These clippers really work but they are quite heavy and a little bulky for my hand. I was cramping up a bit while completing the trim on the dogs.

They cut the dogs nails fine but they also pinch the inside of your hand.

Cleans easily, but my older cat does not enjoy brushing like on the commercial. When she does tolerate brushing, this makes the most use of time for hair removal.

I have a mini Holland Lops bunny. He has longer fur and this brush is amazing. Yes the bristle area is rather small, but so is my bunny, so it works. There is somewhat of a trick to using the brush efficiently, mostly in the angle as others have said. A word of caution: sometimes the brush will pull fur that isn't exactly loose. He had a couple of small gaps as a result, but otherwise, this is a great product for my purposes.

Good if you only have one dog. We have three and we need to wash or change gloves about every other day, when its muddy. I recommend a towel, works about as well and cheaper.

I was very skeptical of this product at first because I had tried other brushes and combs for my cat (average hair length). He had been shedding excessively. After using the FURminator, I had no fur on my hands after petting him, his coat felt smoother and cleaner, and most importantly...no more cat fair flying about or on furniture. I used the spray, but I haven't done a direct comparison of with spray and without, so I can't comment on its effectiveness. I highly recommend this product.
