I originally saw the harness while I was on vacation down the Cape, so I Googled the item & found it on Amazon. The only issue I have is that the size schedule that the distributor lists did not have the proper size listed for my Pekinese so I had to return the item. The Happy Dog Place categorized a Pekinese with the size neck & chest was a Medium, but when I tried it, the harness did not fit. That was my only problem.

I bought 4 of these collars (2 for each of my dogs), after a local tragedy where a 1 year old dog died because his collar got stuck on a branch when he went for a swim and he drowned. Well, it works. But, it works too good. I take my dogs to the woods where they run off leash and play with other dogs. If they are out of my site (in the wooded area) and start wrestling they come back with out the collar. Any play biting that has paws or jaws in contact with the collar allows the safety latch to open. I have found the collars a few times and reused them. Locally it's no big deal my dogs are very good with voice command and know where they are. I wanted to be able to use them when we camped, but, won't now because if they lose them, they also lose their ids. It was a nice idea. ... Read More

I gave the Halti head collar three stars because it was recommended to me by a trainer and because it did work. Our beagle is a timid dog, which led to some aggression caused by fear and by her being uncertain of her status. The Halti mimics the pressure that mother dogs put on puppies' snouts to discipline them and also makes it difficult for the dog to pull. Molly's behavior was greatly changed on walks. In fact, it changed so much that it was sad. She walked solemnly and joylessly, looking neither to the left or the right. She hated the Halti, and we had to chase her down to get her to let us put it on.
