I have had two of these. The first one was the more expensive and larger deluxe unit that has adjustable temperature. That unit fell victim to moisture intrusion around the led display for the temperature. Got this one because it's sealed and doesn't have the display, so far it's been fine. I use mine for my iguana, they normally prefer to be heated from above but mine loves this (they sell heat rocks that can burn I thought this would be more reliable and less likely to burn him). These units are intended for outdoor use but I don't think I'd buy another one with the adjustable temperature or display because the controls and the display are a weak spot in the case where moisture can get in and destroy it. I have 2 mixed breed dogs that love this bed. They will drag it from room to room to lay on it. I've had much better success with this bed than with the lounger style. I would definately recommend this bed. If my dogs would rather sleep on this than in the bed, it must be comfortable.

We have actually purchased over twenty of these beds. All but two have leaked. The company is rude and difficult about warranty replacement (which you have to pay a fee for). All of the warranty replacement beds have leaked but they don't warranty replacements. We have given a few as gifts, but all of those have leaked and our friends were very upset. We have purchased beds that were larger than necessary for our dogs and are extremely careful with them. The seams do not hold. I am so sick of soaked carpeting and damaged wood floors. The dogs do love them, but we are buying a different product this time.

Excellent product. Cats are visibly disappointed when another is using it. Maintains a low level of heat when not being used and does a great job when in use. Sometimes preferred to actually laying in the sun.

Two problems: 1.)When you order something called a "Kitty Dome," you expect it to be for cats. This cat bed came covered with a fabric print of dogs! The manufacturer should change the name to "pet dome" or be clear that some of the fabrics will feature dogs. 2.)In addition to its "doggie" appearance, the "Kitty Dome" had a chemical odor when it arrived. With recent concerns about PVC in shower curtains, I couldn't help but wonder what harm the fumes from this could cause. Also, the odor was a drawback for my cat. My cat loves to get into her "Kitty Dome" now. Since she'd liked to get inside paper bags and to sleep under the covers, I thought this might be a good bed for her.
