I purchased two of the PH-200s recently for use in a bio fuel project. The construction is very good. They seem very durable and well constructed. My meters have not been field tested yet but the preliminary calibration and test use have been positive. The fit of the parts is very good and the quality seems very good overall. None of the features appeared to be weak, the display is clear and the buttons are crisply responsive. I like the change in modes from C to F and the hold feature. The calibration was slightly off with distilled water ( 6.8 or so ). These meters will surely see use in extreme environments in the coming months. I had my betta fish in this tank for 10 months on my desk at work. He seemed perfectly happy, no fin ripping, and he liked to hide in the file cabinet. Only recently he started to get cold (it's turning winter time here, and this office/warehouse doesn't have good heat) and I would do a warmer water change just to get him normally colored again! (yikes) As a good betta mommy, this whole situation made me quite flustered, and I set about a search for an aquarium heater that wouldn't be too much for a tank this small. On my search I found 2.5 gallon would handle the smallest heater just fine. Also the more I read about betta's, I learned how they're happier in a 2.5 gallon tank, and with silk or real plants... I bought this aquarium after I bought a Crown-Tail Betta, and wanted to upgrade from a one gallon bowl. =) Pros: 1. VERY easy to set up, but really look at the illustrations on the instructions, because they don't tell you which direction to install some things in. But it still only took me about 30 mins. to set the whole thing up. 2. Filter makes almost NO noise. 3. The built in lights really bring out the colors in my Betta fish. (And the light bulb comes already installed/hooked up, so all you have to do is plug it in!) 4. It's really compact for a three gallon tank. 5.
