The pet industry has convinced many people that betta fish can live in tiny containers with no filtration or pump, but this is not true. BUT please (please, please, please) don't buy this for a goldfish - your gold will outgrow this tiny tank in a year and you'll have to buy a much, much larger one (15-20 gallons per Goldfish is generally recommended). Use this for small fresh water fish like Minnows or even a Betta. Shame on Aquatic Gardens for marketing this for Goldfish.
