Like the title says, this product was just what I was expecting. A 6 pack of scoop free, and while being a little heavy, is currently serving my cats urine and fecal needs with full gusto and fervor. It smells good.

so easy for changing litter once a month....make sure you put tray refill lid under tray to protect floor from any leakage....if you just use the tray, and discard the lid, liquid may seep through onto floor....no odor with the crystals....

We discovered this product at a local pet store, where it was being demo'ed. They poured straight ammonia (we smelled it) into a vial with this litter, upon contact the odor was completely neutralized. While we only have one cat, he can be a "smelly cat"...but it's not his fault. :) We keep our box in the house, since using this litter you would never know...and no more extra cat box deodorizers, etc. Because this is more expensive than regular litter, we put a good layer on the bottom of his box, then cover with a layer of regular clumping cat litter. This product was recommended to me by my cats' veterinarian, who said they used it in the clinic for cats they need to get urine and feces samples from that are nervous about using a strange litterbox. One of my kitties preferred the basement's cement floor to the litter box, and it was becoming a pretty nasty problem. The previous owner of the house kept her cat imprisoned in the basement all the time and the poor cat went on the floor so much the whole house reeked of cat urine when we bought it (partly why we got such a good deal on the house). I'd been using Dr. Elsey's for some time, but decided to give this one a chance when I was shopping at a store that didn't sell Dr. Elsey's. This litter is worse in almost every way. It's dustier than Dr. Elsey's, it doesn't control odor as well (in fact, the litter itself has an unpleasant smell), and it does not clump as well. My cat tries to bury his waste repeatedly because he doesn't like it either. It may be biodegradable and septic safe, but with the downsides I mentioned and the cost, I'm going back to Dr. Elsey's. I still gave it two stars because it clumps a little bit and is better than an average grocery store litter.

I like this litter a lot. I don't really think it's as pricey as everyone claims. I have two kittens and it eliminates a lot of the odor. I love that it clumps their urine. You can scoop out urine and poo so I think it helps with overall smell of the litter box. As far as the price, I refused to buy anything cheap and wanted the best litter and I think I've found it. So the price doesn't matter to me. ;)
