This product is pretty much the same as other "felaxin" type products as far as one who is unwilling to actually TASTE it can tell. However, for a product like this for me, its all about the packaging. It's a good solid paste, easy to squeeze and the cat likes it well enough to eat it from my hands. The last 2 similar products I tried got runny after a few doses and made a general mess in the drawer where it is kept. ESPECIALLY, DO NOT buy the kind in the aluminum tube as the tube splits in different places and leaks out after you've squeezed a dose or two from it. This is a sturdy plastic tube that lasts throughout the life of the product and again, the cat happily licks it up!!! (PS - also, she DOES NOT THROW UP any more since I started using it and that's the BEST OF ALL)

I bought this and at first I thought it was going to work. But, after two days of using this, my cat started throwing up again and became lethargic. I discontinued using it and went back to Petromalt. Now, my cat is perking up again and getting sick less. It may work good for others, but not with my cat.

Best treat my Siamese cats ever had. They go to the drawer it's in and call out with raised paws for me to swipe the gel on so they can lick it off. They want it twice a day and it lasts a long time. I love this product, but can't find it anywhere in Columbia SC pet stores, so I'll continue to order online. One satisfied pet owner!

I absolutely love this product. For the past 4-5 years it has worked wonders for my kitties. They are Persian and very fluffy and I would be in a big trouble with hairballs if it was not because of this great product. Highly recommended.

I have a long-haired tabby who is very high-maintenance in the sense that he throws up furballs quite a bit. My cat's vet recommended this product and it has definitely helped. My cat also loves the taste and will actually jump up onto the counter and paw at the tube when he wants some.

I had an outdoor long-haired cat growing up (about 13 years ago) and we gave her Hartz Hairball Remedy to prevent hair balls. She loved the taste and ate it like it was a treat! Now that I'm older and living on my own I recently adopted two long-haired cats. Naturally when I looked for a hairball remedy treatment I went with what I was familiar with - Hartz. Since my cats are indoor only I can physically see that Hartz is working because occassionally I see hair mixed in with their feces clumps as I clean their litter boxes. We have used this product for several years as part of the plan that has evolved to deal with our Ragdoll cat's chronic, serious constipation problem. We give him about 10cc of this every other day, along with 5mg Cisapride and 3mL Lactulose 10gm every day. A syringe must be used, since there is no way that he will eat any of this on his own (contrary to what the packaging says). Veterinarians give you a blank stare when you mention Kittymalt, but for sure the Cisapride and Lactulose alone are NOT enough to deal with this problem, even though the vets seem to think that they ought to be.
