This is a great product ... especially fun to connect 2 sets together making a curvey course. I have a teddy bear and 2 robos that I'll put in their exercise balls and watch them take off! The tabs on a few of them were a little tricky to connect & disconnect - I ended up paring down the openings with a knife & now they snap together and come apart perfectly ... and no worries about them separating during use. It's addicting ... I'm thinking of adding a 3rd expansion!

Pet Supplies : Silent Spinner Exercise Wheel

This is a faulty product which is unfortunately the best in its class. They start off great. The silent spinner IS quiet and can comfortably fit my chinchilla. However, the cheap plastic wears quickly (and if you've got a nibbler don't even consider it) and what starts with a wobble ends up falling down on your pet, making them very wary of it. I'm on my third silent spinner. I have tried all sorts of fix-its to no avail.

Please somebody, make a product that works well in this category!!!

Pet Supplies : Giant Rub-About Exercise Ball

No animal should ever be put in an exercise ball. They are dangerous and stressful for all animals. You may think your animal is happily rolling around. It's much more likely that they are running in fear, trying to get away from the ball that is containing them. Or, sometimes the animal will just sit there in misery, not moving at all, waiting to be freed.

Most rodents/small animals have poor eyesight. In a ball their vision is even more limited. What always happens when they are in the ball?? They run into furniture and walls, which they don't see coming. It's like a car crash for them. They back up to try and get away and crash into something else. It's extremely stressful. There is also the risk that they could roll down stairs or become a "toy" for a larger family pet, such ... Read More

7.SAM Workout Wheel from: Penn Plax

I bought this "Silent" wheel to go along with my SAM Princess Hamster Cage that I already have. It came with a wheel that was great but too noisy for my nocturnal hamster. Both the description on the item and the description on the box said the wheel was going to be silent, specifically, "Silent spinner designed for nocturnal hamsters. It lets you sleep while they play." I was very excited about that. My hamster (who is of normal size and weight) was also excited about it, as he ran in it for most of the night last night. But alas, the wheel is just as loud as the one that came with the cage. I mean, I expected a little bit of noise realistically but to have spent the money and not gotten a difference is a rip off. It advertises silent, I wanted it to at least be quieter but it is not.

Pet Supplies : Super Pet Rainbow 5" Mini Run-about Ball, Assorted Color

My hamster loves to roam around and sniff things while running in her hamster ball.
When she hits a wall or a bump, she sniffs at it, and sometimes moves on or sometimes tries to chew at it through the air slits(sometimes succeeding if a sock or towel) lol!
She absolutely loves it, and a lot of times doesn't want to return to her cage.

The only bad thing about most hamster balls is that they can pop open, especially if your hamster is like mine and chews on the inside of the plastic tabs that keep the hamster lid on.
To counteract this, I use a little duct tape on the lid or any loose fittings so I can let her run around without watching her like hawk.
