As an owner of 3 Goldens we often find hairballs floating about the house. Both my wife and I work at the University so we regularly show up to work with dog hair stuck on our clothes and having our students point it out to us. We've used many grooming tools that have failed to remove the dead fur from our pets until we purchased the Furminator. I was quite amazed that the first time we used it we got almost a full garbage bag of fur from our three dogs that I know would have ended up turning into tumble weed in our home or being stuck onto our clothing. I just received this brush the other day and I gotta say: I love it! It worked fabulously. I let the weight of the brush do all the work, just run the brush through the coat. I got enough fur to make a cat toy. At least that's what my cat thought it was! Both of my cats loved the brushing, purred and everything. Immensely happy with this purchase.

The tool does exactly as it says. But you must work with your dog alot to get them use to the noise and feel of the grinder. I massaged my dog's feet everyday for a week before the oster arrrived. This helped for my dog to get use to my touch and the practice that I wasn't going to hurt him. Then once the oster arrived I massaged his feet with the oster OFF. Then for the following week I massaged his feet with the oster turned on at different levels, but I didn't groom his nails. Then finally about 2 weeks ago I was able to grind his nails with ease. Again, this is a great tool for grinding nails, however you have to work with your dog and have a great deal of patience.

I purchased these replacement bands with the Oster nail grooming tool. My only complaint is that the directions are unclear and very limited. A call to the customer service number provided in the literature resulted in the following comment from them: "Ma'am, we are not dog groomers. You would have to ask a professional dog groomer how to use this tool." After much trial and error, I have it figured out now. My formerly skittish dogs sit perfectly still as the tool hums and whirls and shortens and shapes their nails. I highly recommend it....if you can figure out how to use it on your own.

FINALLY clippers that will cut through my aussie's long fur and think undercoat! The clippers get warm and are a bit heavy, but its worth it given it took me 10 minutes tops to shave him down compared to an hour or more with my old ones.

at 4 ounces size, this is a great value and does its job well. easy open lid also keeps oil from leaking and allows for direct and simple application.

I am always skeptical about tv items. However, I have been using this product on my cat and it works really great. My cat likes it too.

I recently bought these clippers from amazon. They work great. I have an English Springer Spaniel which has quite thick hair. These clippers plowed right through his hair without slowing down. My wife and I were able to give him an decent looking trim considering we've never done it before. My only complaint is that they do seem to get quite hot after using them for a while but it wasn't uncomfortable to handle them.

After many dollars spent on groomers, I decided to purchase the Oster A5 clipper for my two bichon mix dogs. I did lots of reseach before the purchase. These clippers really work but they are quite heavy and a little bulky for my hand. I was cramping up a bit while completing the trim on the dogs.
