Good product and suits my purpose. I think a pinch collar or choke chain still works better in controllin a dog though. Other reviewers said they found thye could control their dog better with this, I found this not to be true. I use it to attach to the Walky Dog when we go biking. Also, I put the harness on my dog backwards to have the O ring on the top where I need it. My dog is about 65 pounds and it hasn't broken yet even with some sever pulling.

I adopted a 90 lbs but very sweet monstrosity of a dog. He loves to walk and apparently doesn't care that I can't keep up with him. He would constantly pull on the leash and either drag me off balance, choke himself or both. I got this with the hope of keeping him from choking on this collar, but instead got a lovely surprise that he doesn't like to lunge away from me anymore. At first I put the thing on backwards intentionally, not understanding why the leash attached where it did (at the front, chest area), but once I put the thing on the right way, he would lunge and not be able to get his front legs out stretched in front of him, so couldn't complete the lurching motion. I bought this to replace a standard type harness that my cat had outgrown. This is very good quality, and the design is very ingenious. It's much less restricting that the one we had. I can get it pretty snug - for safety - without it bothering my cat. She still spooks sometimes, and the security of the leash and harness maeks it possible to take her out of my apartment. I've gotten a retracting leash(cat strength) which gives her more freedom to move than the leash that comes with the harness. I find the cat panics less when she can move more freely.

I am so happy with the car seat for my little dog. It is very sturdy and fits well in my car and makes her so happy that she can safely see out of the window.

I suppose I can't be too upset after having paid only $8, but this harness was lacking in several ways: 1) The material is thin and in no way chew-proof, nor even chew resistant. Your dog will most likely chew his or her way out of the harness quickly. 2) The plastic loops that are meant to allow proper sizing are too loose allow the harness to slacken as the dog attempts to jump. This means that you have to constantly re-tighten the device. We overcame this by simply knotting the ends, but the design is flawed. 3) Assembly is overly complicated. I like to think I'm a smart guy and it took me a good 15 minutes to figure this thing out. Furthermore, unless your dog is the kind who will sit still for anything, it will be a chore to get it on and off. Read More

This harness doesn't control a dog any better than putting your lead on the front ring of a regular harness. Also, it allows the dog to escape.

I ordered a large version of this harness, after researching many travel harnesses available. My large whippet fit within the parameters for a large harness, since his neck/chest measurement was 18 and his girth was 26. I think it is a tricky fit for some breeds - especially those with a broad rib-cage and narrower chest - as one would find with many sighthounds. It arrived today and it is very well made and appears as though it would be comfortable if you have a dog with the appropriate body habitus for this type of harness. On Jack it was clownishly large and I was so disappointed. Returning items just is my nemesis!! I waited over two weeks product never arrived because it was never shipped. I bought it at Target, called the company to cancel and request a refund. Instead, they shipped it out to me and lied saying it was "found at my local post office" when you could see the date clearly printed on the postage when it was mailed from California. I shipped it back to the company filed a claim with Amazon and have yet to receive a refund. Crummy customer service aside, I do like the harness it has worked well on my Siberian Husky. I have a new puppy and will get one when he's a little bigger. But not from Amazon. This company has had so much bad feedback I can't believe Amazon still supports them. Listen to your customers!

i can't say enough kind words about this product the only suggestion i have/only thing i wish was different is the strap which attaches to the seatbelt...i really wish the harness came with two so i could have one in each car without having to take it out every time. highly recommended!!

Yep, totally agree with the other reviews about dogs with short legs, the second my corgi saw a squirrel, she was out of it. It's too bad, because in the about 30 seconds before she figured out how to get out of it, it really did work.
