We like the backseat hammock, however, our smart lab puppy (7mo old) figured out how to get under the hammock. She can squeeze past the front seat and door; getting under it. Made for an interesting ride when she popped her head out from underneath. We do like it, though, and would recommend it even to keep your back seats clean.

Nothing wrong with this carrier at all. Its easy to assemble, easy to clean, sturdy, well ventilated, comfortable to carry, and well priced. There are certainly more expensive, fancier carriers out there, but this is all one really needs.

You really want this seat! I put it in my car yesterday as soon as it arrived and my chihuahua was happier than ever being able to drive around and look out the window on his own rather than standing on my lap! He is 12lbs and he fits sitting, playing with his bone and curled up sleeping. Very well made and you even have the ability to raise the seat or lower it in order to adjust to the height of your car window. I can't wait to go on a long drive just to see his eyes filled with glee because he now has his very own seat right next to the window!!

This is our second Petmate Soft Sided Pet Taxi. We recently acquired a new puppy and needed another carrier. I like the ease of getting the pets in and out without hassle with the option of using the opening on the top or on the end. The sides give ventalation on the warm days and allows our pets to see what is going on around them. We all appreciate the removable, washable cover that covers the support board in the bottom of the carrier. This carrier has a sturdy carry strap. I found this to be a carrier that meets all our needs. Please don't discontinue this carrier.

My 8 lb. maltese clawed/chewed through/got out of mesh webbing in 5 mins.-bleeding and all-back floor of car. My pup crying and tramatized, I cannot use this product. Unless animal is sedated or used to crating, forget about it. Believe me, don't waste your money and time. I cannot imagine shoving this product w/ your pet under an airline seat. p.s. I read these kind of reviews about this product before, but hoped it would not happen to me. Returning to PETCO store wonderful customer support but complicated because I purchased on-line.

I am glad that I purchased the Extra-Large seat. My dog is 15 lbs and loves sitting in the seat. The x-large allows her to lay down if she chooses, which she often does. She never has any trouble sitting up and looking out the window. I replaced a blow up air cushion seat with this one because the dog didn't sit on the air cushion one.

This product is very comfortable. My kitty feels safe in it when we are at the vet and there is no problem getting him to go back in it after his check-ups.

This product was easy to assemble and to properly set up in my car. All straps are adjustable and seat can easily and quickly be transferred between vehicles, or stowed in the trunk when not in use. Safety strap was slightly too long to prevent my dog from hopping over the edge and getting stuck dangling there, so I tied a knot in it to shorten it further than the adjuster would allow. I would recommend using the safety strap in conjunction with a harness, rather than a standard collar, to prevent strangulation whether from the pet putting themselves in a precarious position or from vehicular accident/ roll over. All and all, very satisfied with this purchase.

I like it however it is heavier than the other cat carrier I possess so I have to put my smaller female in the new one.
