Very great printer. Setup was very fast. Printing is great too. Right down to printing in order. If you want to print 5 pages. The printer will print the pages from 5 to 1 where page 1 will end up on top so printing is in order. Also I can print any photo to full size of the paper. And scaning documents came out very well too. The price was great and I receive the printer the next day. Very happy with this printer.

One star is too many.
My kodak esp 3 printer never worked. Kodak's lack of tech support is absoloutely horrible. This printer ended up being thrown away and I got a lexmark all in one that I am THRILLED WITH.
My brand new printer had a hardware error. The seller offered to accept it back with a 20.00 restocking fee. So after all the shipping charges I would have gotten back around 10.00. Not worth it. When I called "tech support" the woman from a million miles away read me the online website inistructions. I had been there followed those instructions to the letter. I told her that. She said that was all she could do. She offered to let me send back this printer, Kodak would send me a refurbished one. No thanks after the "support" I had received I could only imagine if I had trouble ... Read More

64.Epson Stylus Photo RX595 Photo All-in-One Printer from: Epson

Great printer for the price ($85.00). I replaced every cartridge with non Epson cartridges without a problem then finally experienced the same error others received with my Epson RX595 printer (won't recognize cartridges). I luckily had another cyan cartridge to try (non Epson) and again received the error that all 6 cartridges could not be recognized. Since the printer would not recognize all of the cartridges, I determined that it probably was not related specifically to the cyan cartridge. I hit the "Stop/Clear Settings" button and started to reseat each cartridge one at a time. After reseating the black cartridge, the printer came back failing to recognize only 4 of the 6 (making progress). I then reseated the other 4 cartridges and the printer finally accepted all 6. Good Luck.

Just bought the Brother MFC-490cw to replace my dead Lexmark X83. Simply stated, this is an awesome all-in-one printer! Setup was quick and easy. The printer found my wireless router in seconds. Loaded the proper drivers in the various laptops and BAM! we were printing without wires!

The print quality for both text and color images is very good. the 3.3" color screen is a very nice feature. Having true CMYK print cartridges (meaning 4 different cartridges) means you only have to replace the color that is empty. It also has slots for memory cards and flash drives so that you can fax/scan straight to those when you don't have a PC handy. All things considered, I couldn't be happier with this printer. At $79.99 it was a steal of a deal!! Wi-Fi printing, the only way to print!!!!

This MFC-74220 is my first multi-function printer, although over the years I've owned 2 Brother laser printers before this one. Brother products are less pricey and I just haven't been able to discern a difference in quality between Brother and other brands that may be percieved as higher quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this multi-function is twice as nice as my last Brother printer, which I loved!

I couldn't be more impressed with this unit. I can't find much, if anything at all to criticize about this multi-function. It's extremely intuitive, user-friendly. I had this machine set up in less than 5 minutes and it's been used continuously ever since. There's no learning curve; it just goes to work. That says alot for a machine that does this much.

I purchased this as a new item but was sent a used item. For that reason this review may be more critical than others. The printer is not as easy to carry along as a earlier HP photo printer I had purchased because of the, sometimes hard to load, paper tray that must be inserted in the front. The pictures do print within the minute as advertised, however there seems to be little green dots that occasionally show up on some of the prints. They do print dry to the touch unlike the sometime sticky print from ink jet type printers. Positives are the less expensive paper (108 prints for less than $30) and ink cartridges, however, the cartridges only print a max of 36 pictures which means if you are planning to be mobile, more things to carry.

Like most HP printers this product is well-engineered and performs its function admirably. It is stylish with a small footprint and works well as a companion to my HP 1020 Laser Printer. The only complaint I have is the software that comes with it can be annoying. It will pop-up at inopportune times and isn't overly intuitive. Pretty much a standard HP product with excellent hardware and sub-par software.

So far I have spent two days trying to install the software for this printer on my xp system. The printer finds my wireless network, and the computer sees the printer, but the software just won't install. After two hours on the phone with Kodak tech service, the only thing that they can come up with is that I need to uninstall the drivers from my old HP printer. This just seems like a way to push the problem back onto me. I never had to uninstall drivers before to get something to work. From what i read, I'm not the only one with this problem.
