What a mess this printer is to set up. Like the previous reviewer I had to install and uninstall the software for several hours, and spend several more googling patches to the problem. "Fatal error during installation" pops up during install - and never goes away. You close it and it pops back instantly. Need to uninstall - again - and ship the whole thing back. Garbage.

I am very pleased with this all-in-one printer. I have had several brands of printers, and my preference has always been Lexmark. They are easy to operate. I love the automatic feed on this model. I didnt realize what I've been missing all these years without it. The seller was very quick in shipping and in addressing my questions.

This is a terrible product that you should avoid like the plague. After 20+ hours on the phone with tech support we had them send out a replacement, which has exactly the same problems, and I think the problem is their terrible software. Its software locks up the host machine at 100% processor use, the scanning is very poor quality when it works, which is seldom, and the printing locks up with random "49 error". It does send and receive faxes ok. I have an office full of HP equipment, and we had ok results with the earlier LJ3330 and LJ3380 models, but this is trash.

Excellent all-in-one printer for the price, and as usual Amazon beats everyone. I did not however receive the X2550 which I ordered, but instead was shipped the X2500. Basically the exact same unit with a few slight differences of no consequence at all. The install was effortless, quality of prints is superb for a printer in this price range and the speed is admirable. Be advised when making your choice that, though it is not disclosed anywhere except in micro print on the box, you will NOT receive a black ink cartridge (only color), nor the USB cable necessary to connect it. If you're not using it on a computer the latter will not be necessary, but just don't plan to take it out of the box and use it as it arrives without the aforementioned. I bought a Canon Pixma Pro9000 a couple years ago, and I didn't use it very often. Now the printer is broken. I've had a Canon i860. It also only lasted a couple of years before one of the printer heads stopped printing. I owned both Epson and HP printers and they all lasted more than a couple years. My HP Photosmart 7350 is still working. The only complain I have about that printer is that the ink doesn't last long. That's the reason I switched to Canon. I think the image quality of the Canon printer is OK, but the hardware quality of their printers is worthless.

total waste of money.. it says my ink is low/out in the cartridges when there is clearly ink left to use.. it wont recognize the generic cartridges i got for it and the ink is really expensive ... seems to jam easily .. another annoying thing is if u change the printer settings it will automatically switch back to its default settings... i'm done with epson forever because of this printer.. super frustrating..

I think there are 2 good reasons why you should not buy this printer: * Need color cartridges to print B/W * Printing B/W consumes color cartridges When I bought it I wanted to save the color cartridges because I had to print only B/W. I could NOT. Called the customer care and they said that that the color cartridges has to be inside. Fine, I put them in. But why? Then when I run out of cyan ink, I had to buy this cartridge. However the color levels kept going down even if I was not printing in color. The customer care at (562) 276-4382 told me that the printer uses color for B/W printing in order to deliver optimal printing quality. This printer is convenient on the raod with its smaller size and battery power source where AC power is not readily available. The bluetooth conectivity would have probably made it even more convenient, but I'm satisfied overall.
