I previously owned the x7350 printer (2 years old, 22,000 pages printed), and it performed ok. The x8350 appears to be working to the same caliber as the x7350. The printer is used in a work environment, mainly printing and scanning. Used high yield print cartridges #34 & #35. Did try using refilled cartridges from different places, but the ink smeared, so stayed with the new cartridges, but extended the number of pages printed (about 50%) by using the DRAFT mode. Also, even though there is an indicator when the ink is low (or empty), there is ink still in the cartridge, so continued to used until would get a printout that had print fading - usually 20-25 full sheets prints are still let in the "empty" cartridge. I just bought this printer and really like it. My favorite feature thus far is its ability to copy with a zoom setting. I think the copy quality is excellent, and I love how it fills out the entire page with no margins! Another thing I like about this printer is its overall design. One of the reasons I bought it was because the flatbed is large without things that get in the way of the huge book I will inevitably try to scan. Nice job, Lexmark! PS: I haven't tried the wireless or photo printing yet, but I'm optimistic.

I do not know why people are complaining on the reviews about this printer. I've had alot of great times with it, and yes you have to learn how to play with settings, but you also have to know what you are doing in dealing with the printer quality and the way your printer and computer interact. As you would with ANY printer. I just got done taking 2 college courses that touched upon it. You have to know how to set it up and how to do it, its not spy speak but it is something that takes fiddling and patience. As for ink cost, puhlease not that bad at all! Infact I just found some on here for like 18 bucks for the color! Sweet! Everywhere else its a little more. But I do remember buying 3 packages of paper with roughly 150 pages each! This printer has worked very nice so far. We haven't used it enough yet to replace ink or anything. It may be too soon to write a review but we are happy so far! We always purchase HP printers.

After my HP Printer nightmare, this one is a dream. Does and prints exactally as commanded, good quality, scanned images are great quality and good ink usage compared to my HP junk which I later burned. Canon makes good printers. Hp doesen't.

Have owned for 2 months and working great, well worth $200. Also purchased 2 year extended warranty. As long as you don't need the flatbed scanner portion on the 3055 for an additional $100, this is a great fax/printer/copier. I use in a small office where we get 50 faxes per day. I do not have it hooked up to a PC as it is not network friendly. 12A Toner is inexpensive at $60 and quick and easy to change. Says good for 2000 copies. Only negative is you cannot add to a network, wired or wireless. The 3050 costs about the same as the old brother toner & drum replacements. The Brother is now in the trashcan and lovin the HP 3050.

I know I should not be posting this here, but I just bought this printer at BIG LOTS for 22.00 plus tax about 24.00. I got the Black carts at walmart for 17.00. The printer comes with a sample of color. The color cart is about a $1.00 higher. For the price, I am very pleased. I, too, printed pics using the color cart that came with the printer and was very surprised and happy at the results, better than my other two printers with scanners!! IF you have a BIG LOTS near you, hurry up and get one, if not go online at Biglots.com and find a store near you. Off sale they are 29.95, if I remember right. Sorry Amazon...but we gotta save $$$$$$!!

I bought this printer for its WiFi capability, and that works fine. It frees up space at my desk. It was easy to set up and install. This is an economy-priced printer and the color printing is, frankly, inferior to the economy HP inkjet printer I have been using. This printer does have 6-color capability and I have not yet tried that--it requires a different ink cartridge. I suspect I will switch to that when this cartridge runs dry. So this is fine for low-cost wireless printing, but don't expect great color.

This is a great printer for a great price! Very portable, reliable, great quality. Not the fastest ink jet in the world, but that's not the priority. If your second office is the coffee shop, you will love this little printer.
