I have read some unfair reviews on this machine. I say unfair because I love it. I own a 9/11 Museum in Manhattan and just purchased this. It make copies very fast, has a paper feed table that is unbreakable because of the crutch that was ingeniously created below it (our last one broke) and we have faxed up to 30 page docs for billing at a time without the machine getting jammed. So, I don't know what all the fuss is, unless you have a large business that demands major copy machine output. The only limitation I found with this printer is that if you want to have a larger copy of your picture you will have to take elsewhere. Otherwise, if you are happy with the top size printing of this machine then this will be excellent for you. The quality of the prited photograph is great. Sergio Sarita

This printer is terrible to use. The one I got was defective and damaged the paper as it went through. The design is also terrible. Paper is hard to load. It's loud. You have to wait lots for it to reset itself. The software is problematic. When you change one setting it resets others to a default, so you have to change them again, total hassle. The prints look good, but it is a pain of a printer, especially when you have to return it because it leaves roller marks on your paper.

Do not under any circumstances buy a Brother printer. They rig the machine so that it will accept no generic toners. You use a brother toner or the machine won't work. Amazing!

If you know the tools that HP made back in the 70's, Hewlett-Packard was a sort of "PhD's Club". You basically had to have a Graduate Physics or Engineering degree, and employed by the likes of NASA to understand the technical expertise and solid reputation for some of the smartest tools on the planet, made by HP. But the HP K5400 OfficeJet Pro Color Printer is a real testament to HP's reputation, and certainly holds back that HP reputation. 1) Should not be labeled, "Pro". It's barely legal to say it even works properly. Nearly every print job has issues, in my experience. 2) Goes through Ink madly.
