I bought this printer about a year back for, at the time, my fiance. We've since had our wedding, and this printer was exremely solid in churning out all of our DIY wedding paper items (menus, invitations, guest cards, etc.). The colors were pretty good for text and monochromatic images (we did not use this for photo printing), and one and a half ink cartridge was enough to produce approximately 150+ sheets of color. More importantly, the printer was able to handle heavy-weight cardstock (110 weight), albeit if fed one sheet at a time. Overall, we are happy with the purchase as it was able to meet our wedding stationery needs, and also only cost me $25 when i had purchased.

The Canon iP3500 is an impressive document printer and I'm pleased with that function. However pictures printed using the Picasa program and the iP3500 appear badly over-exposed and washed of color. I called Canon and the check-outs they had me perform were all good. Their view was that the problem was with Picasa. As a test I printed the same picture using the Easy Photo-Print EX program supplied by Canon and using Picasa. Pictures printed on the iP3500 using EX were very good. The same picture printed on the iP3500 using Picasa appeared washed out as earlier decribed. The express one-day warranty program is a joke. HP will only honor the warranty if they have a refurbished one available to send you. If they don't, you wait until they do! Of course, your customers will surely understand that.......

I have had this printer for several months, and have been highly satisfied. I have a Mac, and it works great. The auto duplexing unit is great, and saves on paper. Photos come out well, although they aren't as good as professional by any means. When initially purchased, I wasn't paying much attention to the scanning capabilities - it is now one of the things I use most often. For transferring photos, I have found it quite simple to take the cards out of my cameras (I have both an SLR and a point and shoot) and stick them directly in the printer - no more wires! I would buy this printer again in a heartbeat.

So far so good. Fairly easy to use for simple titling projects not employing much in the way of graphics, though it has some basic capability I've not yet explored. Will use my Epson R220 for more elaborate needs. Have only had mine couple days, but initial use has been very good. Sure beats titling with a Sharpie. Very pleased with mine.

Works well. No problems. Would b nice if it had network connection. Paper tray cover seems a little flimsey. It would be nice if there were more control buttons instead of menues to navigate. These things do not detract from this overall very functional, quality machine. Especially at a low price & w/ a large rebate!

My brother gave this to our father who is in assisted living. It doesn't take up much space, it gives him something to do and the print quality is very good. The only problem is that my father has lost dexterity in his fingers, so he struggles putting the memory stick in. If he can use it, anybody can use it. Still, there's nothing difficult about this unit and it beats watching TV. He's had it for several months and really enjoyed printing out pictures from his 96th birthday party while the party was still going on and giving the pictures away. It was such fun we all wanted one. We weren't able to get it to crop photos, but it may be that it will do that and we just didn't figure that part out. Still, nice photos. A very useful, easy-to-use unit if your fingers work right.
