I've been using this flash card in a new Nikon D700 camera for the last month. The D700 can write a full Nikon NEF format picture AND a JPEG version simultaneously if you so desire. I set the camera up to do this and took about 450 photos (that's 900 NEF + JPEG) shots over the course of a middle school wrestling match. Not once did the camera stall writing to the flash. So, no problems with write speed. I've shot, in total, over 3000 photos at various sports meets in the last month with no problems. I've also had no issues accessing the flash over an external USB Flash reader with my computer (Dell D620). By the way, helpful hint, some external readers are happier if you plug them into the USB port without the flash card installed in the reader. Once the reader is recognized by the ... Read More

I purchased this 500 GB drive to replace a smaller one I had. The drive works flawlessly and stores a lot of data. This is especially useful because I use a Mac at home and Windows at work. I am able to keep all my files in one place to use between both operating systems. Great device.

I wanted a dedicated scanner to use especially for slides. After scouring to web for comparisons and user ratings I decided to get this one. I was concerned that CanoScan 8800F doesn't utilize ICE 3 technology for scratch and dust removal but rather, uses their own proprietary FARE 3 technology . In the final analysis, Canon probably decided not to pay for the ICE 3 licensing but Canon's FARE 3 technology does do the job very well. In fact, in a side by side comparison, I found, after sifting through endless web pages, that the Canon with FARE 3 rendered a bolder, more eye-catching image than Epson's, which uses ICE 3. I guess it's a matter of aesthetic judgement. I highly recommend this unit based on price, features and most of all...results.

Even though these cards cost about the same as buying a fast food lunch, their cost-per-gigabyte is a little higher than I'd prefer. The sweet spot at this particular point in time seems to be with the 8GB cards.

The only reason I'd suggest this is if your device isn't capable of using SDHC yet.

That said, the card works great in my father's 4 year old digital camera, haven't had any issues yet.

I brought this drive from Amazon after Thanksgiving for $105. I thought this was a good buy opportunity for what this storage drive is supposed to be about, at 105 & 750GB. The operative word is storage. This drive features run parallel with each other 2.0 USB is just about right for a 5200 rpm drive which should translate well to low heat dissipation. I noticed that the vents run around 3 width sides. I believe that is over kill but just the same I keep it on its back so that none of the vents are blocked ( folk buying 7200 RPM or fire wire should keep that in mind..seems some of these higher speed models stop after a few days..Heat? see reviews) Another reviewer complained of the loudness of this drive, for my drive there is an instance of a bit of hard drive noise now and again, but I believe ... The cords are not long enough to suit my desk, so I can't position the speakers on opposite sides of my laptop. Also, I hear white noise/interference (whatever you call it) when the speakers are on with no music playing. But, for $10, it's a 4-star purchase.

This has worked well. It has excellent resolution, the software was easy to install and adjust. It came up immediately in skype. The microphone is OK. The webcam attaches easily to both of our two laptops.

The problem is the stand needed for a workstation monitor. The base is small and not sufficiently heavy, the pole is long and, amazingly, doesn't lock into the stand. It tips over at the slightest provocation, the rod detaching from the base in a clatter. I'm thinking of gluing the base to a strip or square of plywood and gluing the rod into the base. You think they would have spent the little extra to deal with this.

So, overall excellent for the laptop, but not for a monitor. I bought it for both, naively thinking, apparently, they couldn't mess up a simple stand.

Bought this Blue tooth mouse to match my new Mac Book Pro so I didn't lose a USB slot. My other wireless mouse (not Blue Tooth) was sluggish and even crashed PhotoShop because I can over-run the clicks. This mouse is not sluggish. It behaves as well as a wired mouse. I have no complaints about that. However, the battery life stinks. I have got about 1 month of use on the two AAA batteries it came with using the computer about 2 hours a day. Not all of that was mousing. I will see how much life I get on a new set of batteries I just installed.
