Whatever the issues were in the reviews dated in 2006 appear to be completely resolved. I installed this unit in November 2008 and I get full speed between 1Gig ports despite having some 100Meg cards active on a few of the ports. This unit runs cool (just a tiny bit of warmth near the front), and the ports are well-spaced. For an inexpensive 1Gig switch this does the job just fine.

This product is really nice. It is small and works just how you would expect it to. All you have to do is plug in your SD card and plug the stick into your computer as if it were a flash drive. This product is perfect for the computer and camera user who does not have a card reader built into their computer. I recommended this product highly.

I accidentally stumbled onto this product. Where has it been. This is exactly what I have been looking for for at least 7 years, a device that will simpley transfer my old (1980's) VHS no definition and transfer them to DVD. It does not get any easier than this. I barely glanced at the instructions and proceeded to copy a DVD. My first one did not have any audio. That was soon rectified by plugging the audio cables in from the player to the copier.(duh)I was copying from a Sony mini DV camcorder. I then pluged the MC5 into a standard VCR as plain as it gets nothing fancy and proceeded to copy one of my old VHS tapes. IT WORKED! The sound and picture were as good as they ever were. It is exactly what I needed. It is easy to use. I did backup on it all my movies, pictures, voice recordings, programs etc. and there is still plenty of space left. I can run from it programs (with backup data) it works like additional computer. I am planning buy one more. It is just a keyboard and mouse, but it is a good one. Keys don't really click, but most Logitech keys don't. Mouse is great with all the function you would want. I bought it for the bluetooth - too connect to my laptop (Asus) with bluetooth connectivity and everything works great. I have only had it for a week so I really can't say anything about battery life. But Logitech has had battery life down for a while with there other products and I expect this to be no different.

This MacBook is a great upgrade all things considered. I am a longtime Mac user and have used them for everything from graphic design work to simple college papers. I recently upgraded to this Mac from an Ibook G4. If you are intending to use this Mac for heavy graphic design and professional video editing then it may not be for you. I would like to refute a few of the bad reviews people have given. 1.) There is no firewire - This is apparent by simply looking at the laptop and thus if you use firewire often then don't buy it, this will save some time returning it. lots of people dosnt like WD... i dont like it too.. but its very cheap, and works fine. so if you are running very important things or documents, dont store them in a WD. lol. i am taking risk here, because this is my primary storage device, and i have lots of work. but dont have money for a better HD, this is like an act of faith. working pretty nice so far. hope it does much much longer.
