I highly recommend this product if you don't own an ultra portable laptop and don't plan on buying one. If you plan on getting a portable laptop that you wont mind carrying everywhere then you will find yourself using your N800 less and less. When I originally bought the N800 I didn't have a portable laptop and by portable I mean less than 5 pounds so using the N800 was great to check my email and surf the web in my down time. That being said the major problem I found was that the processor really cant handle too many apps running at one time, also the internet is really bogged down when experienced through the N800. Even though the Nokia site advertises it as full video experience loading videos and getting them to play on the flash player installed can be really slow when the videos actually play. ... Actually, it's the worst product my boyfriend ever purchased because he bought it for me for Christmas last year. This thing never worked right, tech support was horrendous, we sent it back to HP twice to get it fixed and they never solved the problem. I took it into an independent shop to get it diagnosed and there's a crack on the motherboard, which makes the laptop not worth fixing at this point. I've finally come to terms with the fact that this computer is a lemon. Shame on HP for not making it right. I will never purchase anything from them ever again.

The computer is pretty good for the price. It has the speed I need and most of the hookups. The only issues I have with it are minor. There's a hum that comes from my external speakers/headphones and mic. Though, it's not horribly loud, and it's possible that might be because I only have average quality equipment. Also, HDMI was advertised on a retailer's website, but it has no HDMI port. Lastly, you don't get a Windows disk. You have to create your own restore disks from a separate partition on the hard drive that takes up space on the advertised 320 GB HDD (which wouldn't be horrible if it was exactly what you'd get on a Windows factory disk since you could just reformat later). Al principio dudaba sobre la funcionalidad de una pantalla de 10 pulgadas. Sin embargo, en cuando empecé a utilizar esta computadora mis dudas desaparecieron. Navegar, escribir un documento, revisar los correos electrónicos, etc., es muy fácil con la MSI WIND. Definitivamente una gran compra. Nada más, recomiendo comprar la versión con batería de 6 celdas, para una mayor duración.

I like this 18.4" laptop, but, like all Sony Vaios, it is missing a key feature: Sony does not enable Intel Virtualization, which means you cannot virtualize 64-bit operating systems, using tools like Virtual PC or VMWare Workstation. So, if you're planning to load a virtual version of 64-bit XP or 64-bit Linux, don't try it with a Sony Vaio. It will not work. HP and Acer have models very similar to (and less expensive than) the Sony AW series; they will work for 64-bit virutalization.

I purchased this unit for my son who is entering his freshman year of high school. I have an HP unit for work that has been very reliable so thought I would give this a shot for him. He is very happy with it, works great for surfing and watching videos. We have not tried the Blue Ray player yet, but assume it will be nice. Having the 3 GB of Ram appears pretty crucial as I recently was upgraded (?) to Vista at work and my machine, which does not have that much Ram, runs pretty slow on it, but his works much quicker. Only drawback might be the wieght of this unit. It has an amazing battery life, but it comes at a heavy price, pun intended, the thing weighs a lot comparatively, but all in all, well worth the money and was very easy to fire up and start working on it right away.
