Well it is a beautiful laptop! I love it.I really , really, really want it, BUT !!!!I cant use it. I got it friday , took it out of the box started it up and BAM! the keyboard does not work. Sony is sending someone over to my house to fix it and I hope they can fix it. We got it from amazon and i hope that if sony cant fix it that amazon will ship out a new one. Ive never had an issue with amazon so i have trust in them.I will keep you updated....

I like small laptops, but unwilling to compromise on performance so the EEE category is not for me. The X200 is just that, light weight, small dimensions, powerfull enough for internet/office/others, and it has great pricing right now, without worrying about small HD's or weak processor. It was shipped just as ordered, arrived on time from ANT and there are really no complaints. Why 4 stars and not 5? This specific model is not the best of the series, and it might be wise to add another 300$ or so and get the slightly more advanced models of this type.

I have one of these Sony UX UMPCs, an HP TX1000 and a Asus eee 701 with a 901 on order from Amazon. I love the UX as an incredibly clever, compact gadget. It gets oohs and aahs wherever I go and I think it can do just about anything my Win or Linux desktop boxes can do. The problem is the keyboard is next to worthless--my Blackberry is waaaaay more effective for typing. You can't thumb type with the UX...at least not while trying to balance this pretty heavy handheld UX. And then there's the screen--it is VERY difficult to read this thing for more than five minutes without going blind...even when you change resolution. I like this 18.4" laptop, but, like all Sony Vaios, it is missing a key feature: Sony does not enable Intel Virtualization, which means you cannot virtualize 64-bit operating systems, using tools like Virtual PC or VMWare Workstation. So, if you're planning to load a virtual version of 64-bit XP or 64-bit Linux, don't try it with a Sony Vaio. It will not work. HP and Acer have models very similar to (and less expensive than) the Sony AW series; they will work for 64-bit virutalization.

The first time I saw this lap top I knew I had to have it. So I decided to shop around to find a good price. I want a lot of things. But I am no big spender. I used to think that Amazon had everyone licked on prices. I mean I have bought so much stuff from these people, I should take stock in the company. (If the market was not so bad right now). Ok I just love my artist edition HP, I used to own a black regular dv2000 and I had a lot of problems with that one, I had to sent it for repair and everything and, I don't know.. overall I didn't have a good experience with that one... But I traded my old one with my dad and bought this artist edition just crossing my fingers hoping this one to be a keeper, and IT DEFINITLY IS! No webcam problems (other one worked 1/3 times I tried using it), the touch buttons are more resposive, the touchpad buttons feel more rigid... And the desing on the computer makes it unique! So its fully recommended!
