I am absolutely happy about this purchase. The computer is amazing. All its features make this laptop a great machine, for entertainment and work. The connectivity is great. Everywhere the computer finds a wireless network, the connection is easy, and work very well. Bad things: I have been dealing with some problems with the software, but nothing bad enough to be worry about. Another thing I have to say is that, this computer is definitely not light. Its weight is not a joke. But I knew this before I buy it, so I can be worry about this.

I am currently writing this on my new Sylvania G Netbook MESO. Which I have now owned for a little over two weeks. This is the Ubuntu Remix edition, but if the desire moved me I could always throw on a copy of windows XP. For the record the desire will not be happening any time soon. I purchased this unit for my son who is entering his freshman year of high school. I have an HP unit for work that has been very reliable so thought I would give this a shot for him. He is very happy with it, works great for surfing and watching videos. We have not tried the Blue Ray player yet, but assume it will be nice. Having the 3 GB of Ram appears pretty crucial as I recently was upgraded (?) to Vista at work and my machine, which does not have that much Ram, runs pretty slow on it, but his works much quicker. Only drawback might be the wieght of this unit. It has an amazing battery life, but it comes at a heavy price, pun intended, the thing weighs a lot comparatively, but all in all, well worth the money and was very easy to fire up and start working on it right away.

I purchased the CTL 2 go pc and it wouldn't boot to the operating system ( Windows XP ) When I called CTL I was transferred to a guy names John who identified himself as the 2go project manger. When I asked him if he could help me he was rude and aggressive and told me he didn't have the time to answer my questions and transferred me to the technical repair line. I then spoke to a guy who sounded Eastern European and he told me he wasn't in charge of repairing 2go pcs and then he transferred me to a guy named Jason. I got Jasons voicemail and left a message with my name, number and email address. 2 weeks later, no reply. Spent my savings on this computer for college. Computer locked up after attempting to install a purchased version of Microsoft Office Student to replace the trial version. After over an hour with Sony Vaio tech support, could not remove the trial version. As per their instructions I had to run a systme recovery and reformat the hard drive and then reload microsoft vista updates - took over 2 hours. Then tried to uninstall the trial version of Microsoft Office Student - again unsuccessfull. Sony Vaio tech support recommended that I repeat the system recovery and reformat the hard drive a second time. I refused,googled the problem and found the solution - go to the Microsoft Office site, download a trial version of Office and once downloaded select the uninstall option.
