I thought this Item was perfect for what it is. A netbook. Small and lightweight for travel. The only problem I had was the right side of the space bar did not work.

Pros: Great DIY laptop PC, was able to load Win XP & Vista as a dual boot setup. Had very little problems loading Windows. For XP there was an issue with the sound but had to go into the DEVICE MANAGER to disable a component then the sound drivers installed. Inside this laptop:OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5400), Fijitsu 250 GB hard drive intel t9300. Great for gaming. This is the best way to go for a XP/Vista Laptop. Cons: The NVIDIA drivers for this laptop are not available at the NVIDIA site so I hope that OCZ will update the drivers. Currently it's dated 6/2007. Speakers on the PC is OK. I was looking to replace my older 3GB RAM Gateway that was working just fine. Getting this Toshiba was the best move ever. Most of my apps installed without issues, although HP's all-in-one printer drivers have some occasional issues... I love the 64-bit O/S, the 4GB DDR2, the fact I can expand that to 8GB in the future -- as there are 2 memory slots, and the laptop comes with 2GB in each slot. Once 4GB modules become available (at a decent price), I can expand the memory and maintain some semblance of modern and fast performance. The unit is nice and light, although it benefits from the (optional) extended capacity battery. The network card has great reach, even in hotels with weak signals. The new macbook pro is my first mac and I have to say I am enjoying it. I got the machine because I love OS X. The machine is plenty fast and the display is great. If you do any kind of development this is the machine to get.

I purchased the black S10 from an importer in NY, and it's been upgraded with a 2 gig RAM stick (recognizes a total of 2 gigs for the system) and a 120gb 5400 HDD. That being said, I'll not spend any time talking about the speed of this little netbook. I've worked on the Acer Aspire One and tooled around on the first generation from Asus as well. I got this notebook after my desktop PC died. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the Compaq Presario F755. As far as notebooks go, this one is a no-frills basic notebook. While it has 3 USB ports, it's missing a PCI-Express slot, Firewire as well as the HP dock adaptor. As long as you don't have a need for these interfaces, this notebook is fine. The only complaint I have is the display doesn't render colors in great fidelity when compared to my HP w1907 monitor. You'll need to either calibrate the display using the NVidia tools, or use a color calibration tool. So, if you plan on doing any image editing on this notebook, be aware of display differences. Otherwise, excellent value and great performance for the price!
