I bought this used, via Amazon, but it is like brand new. It looks almost the same as the Amazon picture, but also shows that it is a Class 4 card on the sticker/label and also says "15 MB/s". It works fine in my digital camcorder. I don't have any reference to compare it to, but I think it transfers files to/from my computer quite fast.

As stated above, item shipped from Chi-Tek, cost about $6 and did not work out of the box. Chi-Tek's return policy says one must ship back to them via USPS 1st class signature required. This type shipping cost more than I paid for the item. When I contacted them about a cheaper shipping method, they said "sorry, we stand by our return policy". So I an stuck with a non working Memory Stick. If one buys from Chi-Tek through Amazon, be very careful to read all fine print.

I just got this card, and it does not work at all. It will not format. It may be inexpensive, but when I really needed this card, it did not work. Buy a better card- not this one.

Works like it should in the sony camera it was meant for. I docked one star because it has two pieces. Why sony did this I don't know. It's one other thing that gets lost or you forget to bring.

Always liked Kingston and Sandisk products. They are reliable. Today I learned that as of Sept 1, 2008, Amazon ended their 30 day Price Guarantee. Amazon used to be my default stop for most of the products I need but this time, I started shopping again. I saw a better Kingston bundle from new egg for much the same price and shipping is free even if the item is under $25.00.

Even though these cards cost about the same as buying a fast food lunch, their cost-per-gigabyte is a little higher than I'd prefer. The sweet spot at this particular point in time seems to be with the 8GB cards. The only reason I'd suggest this is if your device isn't capable of using SDHC yet. That said, the card works great in my father's 4 year old digital camera, haven't had any issues yet.

After doing research on 8gb SDHC cards, I concluded that this one was rated the best overall, and I was delighted to find it at such a great price from a reputable vendor--unlike some who advertise low priced items only to try to 'bait' you into buying ridiculously over-priced 'accessories'. I have learned to ALWAYS do a web search on the vendor BEFORE ordering from them, regardless off their low prices...like typing in "Ratings on Acme Photo", then reading others' experience with them. Saving $5 or even $50 is not worth dealing with shady characters. A slick web site can be produced by a computer savvy adolescent, so you cannot go by that.
