I bought and returned two other KVMPs because they simply didn't work with the Lenovo ThinkPad or its docking station. This one does. It also easily does everything else it advertises. I like playing music from one computer and working, or switching between another. Also, if your VOIP setup is on one computer, and you are tinkering on another, this setup can be handy. I have had NO problems with this switch. USB 2.0 speeds, DVI video, it has all the features I wanted.

I've been using this KVM switch with 3 PC's and a laptop for about 4 months now. 2 PC's run windows xp, laptop run windows vista and the other pc runs ubuntu. I like the fact that I can share audio devices through this KVM and also that I can do a partial toggle, where I can just switch the keyborad+mouse+video to a different PC while listening to audio from another. But, my biggest problem is when I'm working on one PC and boot another at the same time. If the PC that is booting up is not 'in focus' then the KVM switch provides it with very low display resolutions (800x600). This is painful. All that their firmware needs to do is remember the the current resolution being used (or was last used) and provide it to the new PC that is booting up. Read More

This KVM switch has worked perfectly and was easy to install. I typically use the hot key commands to switch back and forth. Note: the KVM is not what is pictured, but is the more traditonal trendnet type that has a small box to connect the various cables to.

Now, everyone in the world talks about "the video resolution is decent", but no one is every specific. I have been through MANY KVM switches over the years and yet to find a decent one, until now. This is a very nice 4port KVM @ a great price by the time. The only issue is everytime i switch to another computer, it always BEEP once, and there's no way to turn this beep-sound off..... but this certain not a deal breaker :)
