This product provides the capability of managing two computers with a single USB keyboard and mouse, and DVI monitor. It worked great for a few days, then the USB ports fouled up. I contacted the seller and very quickly got a replacement. It arrived with one USB port non-functional. 0 for 2, I decided to return all for a refund. The light-weight plastic case made the box flop around a bit on the desktop with all the cables attached. Convenient USB ports on the front, but the monitor port ought to be on the back or end, not the front. Nice try.

The first KVM switch, that I received, failed after a few weeks of use. Very annoying. Amazon made good on warranty and replaced faulty switch at no cost to me. Since then, about a month, the replacment switch has worked just fine. The switches are manufactured in China. My experience suggests poor quality control.

The product failed completely less than a week after purchase. Glad I bought it from Amazon as they honored a refund with no problem. Very cheap item.

I purchased this KVM switch to connect a DELL tower with XP SP2 and a Mac Pro running MAC OS X Leopard. My PC 3+ years old, while my Mac Pro is pretty much new. The shared monitor is an Apple 23" Cinema Display. When connected to the monitor directly, the PC and the MAC worked fine. However, once the KVM switch was used, when switched to the PC, the Windows splash screen appeared, but the Windows XP desktop would not appear. The MAC side was fine. A 1+ hour phone call to their technical support could not resolve the issue. I ended up upgrading my PC's combined DVI/VGA video card to a new one for $75. Bought this because our server room was getting more computers than our old switch could support. This performs exactly as it should with no hiccups at all. I did have an issue with the keyboard and mouse not responding on one of the servers, but I finally narrowed it down to bad ports on the server, and not a problem with the switch. I have nothing to complain about with this switch. It works perfectly 100% of the time and does exactly what it's supposed to do.

My experience has been the same as the others. Device randomly switches from 1 system to the other making it impossible to work. If you un-plub both USBs you can do a power reset and the product will work until it goes wacky again. I did have a Belkin PS2 2 port KVM that I was happy with, unfortunately, my notebook does not have any PS 2 ports. You would be better off with 2 seperate monitors, keyboards and mice. When it comes to computing, I'm pretty tough and can edure many things; this is beyond my tolerance. I do not recommend that you buy this product.
