I've had my PDA for about a year and never had a major problem however one month after the extended warantee expired my backlight burned out. The color screen is useless without it. This is a chronic problem with the sony Clie's. They offer very little support for this problem if your expensive pda burns out. A know design flaw that cost as much as the pda to fix. Don't buy a sony Clie if you can't afford to replace the unit after a year.

I had this PDA for almost two years now and it still works properly except that it's internal memory falls short compared to other PDAs. Most of it's people seems to complain it's battery usage especially when operating cameras but if you make your backlit screen minimal as possible, then the camera will last longer even with the flash. I do that all the time and usually gets me 50 shots with flash if used continuosly without quitting; quitting so would make results for your battery life different. MP3 works great but you'll need to format your mp3s to atrac3 using sony's software since all it playback is atrac3. I also recommand that you get at least 256mb of merory stick pro for this one; that way you can backup lots of data in case your pda screws up and also to store some video clips, games, ... I have had this unit for a couple of years now and am pleased with it. I recently switch out my CF and SD cards for high speed cards and it made a significant difference in speed. Also I bought software to do maintenance, clean the registry and to find and delete temporary and unused files en masse. What a difference this made. I was getting ready to put down a couple hundred dollars on an MP3 player, but decided to try my PDA first. I am so glad I did. Idownloaded software that had more features than the media player it came with and love the sound quality, capacity and feature. I just found an 8gig high speed card and will try this out next. Over 2 years this PDA continues to improve.

I loved this product. It kept me organized and on-time. Syncing was a breeze. And as always with me, the price was right. I used this until I upgraded to the Palm Z99. It would have been nice if the screen was backlit but that's one of the reasons I upgraded to the Z99.

I loved this product. It kept me organized and on-time. Syncing was a breeze. And as always with me, the price was right. I used this until I upgraded to the Palm Z99. It would have been nice if the screen was backlit but that's one of the reasons I upgraded to the Z99.

This item does have the capabilities listed, but they're a hassel to access and even more difficult to use. The media player application is only 1/3 as enjoyable as it should be. See, music does play well on this device, but to access a song you must dig through folders and tiny text. As far as videos go, don't even bother, all of the videos play slow and skip frequently.
