PC Hardware : HP iPAQ 4150 Pocket PC
I have had this IPAQ for several years now and it has more than served its purpose for me. Just recently however I wanted to add more memory to it and went to Staples to buy a 4 GIG SDHC. When I inserted the card into the unit,it still had the same amount of memory as before. (You can check this by clicking on SETTINGS/System/Memory and then click on STORAGE CARD.) So I called up HP and after they checked their records, they told me that that this unit can only take up to 512MB !! I was then put thru to their parts department and asked if they even made 512MB SD cards anymore. They said no they didn't, but that it could be specially ordered for only $228!! For that amount of money I could easily buy another unit, forget the card. I couldn't believe it. So I researched online and found a user ... Read More

PC Hardware : Dell Axim X5 300 MHz Pocket PC
My Dell Axim is the stupidest $500 I ever spent. It locks up, won't recharge, needs constant tending and the battery life is like that of an insect. If you need this kind of useless equipment, buy another brand. Sure, they ship quickly, but using the Microsoft platform just adds to the problems.

PC Hardware : Nokia N800 Portable Internet Tablet
I highly recommend this product if you don't own an ultra portable laptop and don't plan on buying one. If you plan on getting a portable laptop that you wont mind carrying everywhere then you will find yourself using your N800 less and less. When I originally bought the N800 I didn't have a portable laptop and by portable I mean less than 5 pounds so using the N800 was great to check my email and surf the web in my down time. That being said the major problem I found was that the processor really cant handle too many apps running at one time, also the internet is really bogged down when experienced through the N800. Even though the Nokia site advertises it as full video experience loading videos and getting them to play on the flash player installed can be really slow when the videos actually play. All that aside if ... Read More

PC Hardware : Dell Axim X30 624 Mhz 64mb Pda With BT&WiFi
This would be a wonderful device if you never needed technical support, or if they offered it in English. I have yet, in numerous calls to Dell, to speak to someone who can understand ordinary English sentences or speak without a heavy middle eastern accent. As I write, I'm on hold for the seventh time in the same call. I have been passed back and forth all morning. Everyone is "sorry" for the inconvenience. All I want to know is the secret technique to replace the backup battery without taking the unit out of service and mailing it to Dell. This question has sent them into an endless loop of confusion. I started with technical support who sent me to parts who sent me to customer service who sent me to parts who sent me to technical support. Now I'm on hold.
Buy one of these time-saving devices and you, too, can be sorry ... Read More

I have had my unit for a few years, and I like it in many ways, but it has a bad habit of letting me down:
- With the flip top, in my purse, the application/power switches can be depressed and it apparently powers on. This runs down the batteries, and
- All memory is lost.

I've taken to using the Palm calendar and directory in my laptop and not the PDA... pity...

Much faster than my iPAQ 1945 and about 50% better battery life. I can work 15 hours straight (excluding WiFi use) and still have about 35-40% battery reserve left. The program buttons don't turn the unit on any more, you have to push the "on" button first. WiFi reception is excellent.

It only has up to Flash Player 6 which is built in, in it, and to the best of my knowledge and research at this moment of writting this review and I have done some, I can't upgrade it. Thus I can't play Youtube, Dailymotion, etc. on it or watch movies on it.
Maybe if somebody know how to upgrade it to the latest Flash Player or to atleast Flash Player 9 or maybe to something equivalent or comparable, I would ask them to please share that knowledge here.
