This product is great. Hands down.

It only took me a few minutes to get a real feel for it, once the zoom and reference angle were correct I was in love. I own thousands of books and many have been read and reread hundreds of times. I've purchased a few copies of too many of those books. Paperbacks wear out over time and Hardcovers have become collector items for me. I rarely read a hardcover anymore, as I want to keep most of them in pristine order.

Now though I don't worry about that at all! I buy and download the books I want and have about 40 of them on my reader at all times!

Its perfect for the long business trips I take and works great everywhere from the plane to the hotel rooms. The battery life is amazing and it recharges very fast whether its ... Read More

I've used this device as my main PDA for a couple years now, and I like it quite a bit. The hardware is quite nice, it is sad that Palm stopped progressing with PalmOS. The good news is, thanks to hackers like the people at [...], you can now easily put your own software on the Palm TX. You can already put OpenMoko on it, and I'll bet soon you'll be able to run Android on it.

If you want to try yourself, I've been working on making it easy to do. Check out this video to see how to it yourself:

I bought this HP Ipaq for my husband as a birthday present. He loves it. He wanted it primarily for the E-Sword Bible along with all the commentaries. We put a 2 gig memory card in and it can hold all kinds of books which he likes. Also he accesses the internet with it and although the screen is small he can access email and the like. He really enjoys it.

Very handy for taking notes and has useful spreadsheets; has Word and Excel. Handy for scheduling meetings & appointments. Internet capabilities extremely limited. No hardcopy manual which I'd gladly pay for. I bought refurb unit to save over $100; new unit too expensive. Device fragile, hard to grasp, slippery. Hard to open back. No camera. Main advantage is no cell phone and no monthly bill; otherwise don't buy it if you want good internet capabilities. Most of the issues are with the poor quality of the software. Search function finds documents with specific word in title if in main folder but doesn't support levels of folders. No local support at Fry's Electronics. Sync software with Vista very poor. Won't download large photos even with both 2GB CF and 2GB SD cards installed; ... Read More

6.Palm Z22 Essentials Pak from: Palm

PC Hardware : Palm Z22 Essentials Pak
I've waited two months before writing this review, but I got to tell you it feels like I've been carrying my Z22 for a year. It does EXACTLY what I need, and nothing I don't. And you cannot beat the below $100 price.

Yes, PDAs are old technology, but I'm not the type that needs the newest anyway. And I really did not want to carry the thing all the time the way I do my cell phone. When I am not at work, I leave work behind. So, part one was not needing it to be a phone too. Then I looked at web-capable PDAs. Oh, man I was really looking. I work in a wireless building on a wireless campus, so I was lusting at what the technology would make possible. Imagine I would always be connected! The downside would be that I would always be connected. And I'm never far away from a PC when I'm ... Read More

I chose the product because of price and sometimes the new names might offer something good but this product dissapointed me. I bought it for use to syncronize my nursing drug book from my computer using window XP to the asus PDA but it will not work and the software that came with it will not load into my computer either. I called Asus for help and it was clear to me that the technical team are helpless and offers nothing but poor support. I wish to return it as soon as possible to amazon if there will not be a return fee or I will trash it. the only good thing about the PDA is the wifi but that is not why i need a PDA. so if you are buying for core PDA functions you will be disappointed. The product will not read flash card that has music files because it was not created by ASUS PDA.IT IS REALLY FUNNY. ... Read More

8.Nokia 02700T6 N810 WiMAX Edition Portable Internet Tablet from: Nokia
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
PC Hardware : Nokia 02700T6 N810 WiMAX Edition Portable Internet Tablet
The N810 WiMax Edition, if you can even get your hands on it, is a fun little device. It is just like the regular (blue) N810, but with a WiMax radio tuned to 2.5 GHz for WiMax service provided by Xohm (the only WiMax provider). The device is not locked to WiMax, but any provider at 2.5 GHz.

The battery life is good, but with the WiMax signal, the connection drops when driving around, but the Xohm service is brand new (less than a month old at this time of writting) and I'm sure there will be improvements in the works.

9.Sony PRS-505 Reader Digital Book Portable eBook reader with 6" screen Red from: Sony
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
PC Hardware : Sony PRS-505 Reader Digital Book Portable eBook reader with 6" screen Red
Light, very easy to use, more comfortable to read in bed than a paper book, holds many books (in all kinds of formats, rtf and pdf included), and most importantly - the e-ink technology does not strain the eyes, unlike reading from a regular screen. It looks like someone stuck a piece of real paper behind the glass :-) Since buying it, I've just been reading more. There is something very addictive about being able to search for the book you want and get in instantly.

And also, of course, red and gorgeous!

Folks, as of today (Nov 2008) - you have much better alternatives to N810 - I own one and I am recommending not to purchase N810.

I recently purchased Nokia E71 - a smartphone - it has everything N810 has to offer except a much smaller screen. N810 has bigger screen with a nice resolution but it is painful to use it in U.S. given that you almost all the time need to pair with a web-enabled phone - it is hard to find free hotspots. N810 is slow and it is not as easy to use it's browser as it is advertised. The commercially available quality software such as Office 2007 tools are not available. There are bunch of software that is available from Maemo Garage, and some of them are nice - but you can not find everything you need - besides most of the same or similar applications are already available ...
