Good enough for the price. nice graphics and didn't have any problems yet running either games or software such as Autocad 2009. The only thing I didn't like about it is that the card's cooling fan stays on all the time while the computer running and even when computer is under "away" mode. This makes it quite loud and it can be anoying.

I've had this unit for over 3 weeks and so far all I can say is....this card rocks hard!!!! Im already getting blistering frame rates on all my games WOW especially even crysis at 1600x1200 runs flawlessly, I havent had any lockups or problems with card I would definitely recommend. I also installed Xpertool to adjust the fan speed since the onboard control is glitchy, otherwise I love my new video card.......its so worth the money.

the most awesome thing about Nvidia is the Forceware drivers. No need to have 15 different cd's lying around for 15 different Vcards. Those of you knew to building your own system keep in mind that there is NO magic video card that will make your system all better. You also need RAM and a nice CPU on a good mainboard. For parents looking for a card for their child's PC yes go ahead and get this one or up from here. You always want to keep your hardware in sequence. The GTX280 is a powerful card you will enjoy using when rendering 3D environments like games such as World of Warcraft or other graphics intensive work. However, I do not recommend buying a BFG tech card. I have it and it constantly overheats if my cabinet is closed. I need to have the cabinet open in a well ventilated area for the PC to work. Otherwise Windows (Vista) blue screens the second you do anything graphics intensive. I have a state of the art Silverstone Full-Tower Aluminum Case BTW so the case is not the issue. I have learned my lesson. Pay 20% extra and stick with XFX cards.

As someone who used to run an sli system and could see microstutter first hand, I'm completely converted to the single chip solution now. Don't give me a 4870x2 which is nothing more than sli on a single card (crossfire actually). Until microstutter is removed I want the biggest baddest single gpu solution you have. NVIDIA or ATI I don't care. If you are looking for better value look hard at a 4870 with 1gb of vram, that is why this card review doesn't get 5 stars its bang for the buck in comparison to the 4870 1gb (NOT THE x2) is just not there.
