For the price, it's hard to beat this deal. It's quiet and performs comparably to the GeForce 8800. Nvidia did not like my ATI chipset so I got one of these and have had zero issues since. The only issue I have with it (and it seems to be a common complaint) is the documentation that comes with it. Also, the drivers are not up to date for Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit. Make sure you update to the newest Catalyst before you pop this in. Downloading it online is the best bet and this also makes the driver disc worthless. For those that know what they're doing, the lack of documentation is a minor point since you'd probably never look at it anyways but it is kind of annoying at just how sloppy it is. This card is amazing, plug it in and go. I have a Dell Inspiron Vista Home premium with a stock 350w power supply. I thought it would not be enough but it works NO PROBLEM! For what its worth the card increased my Vista Experience index from a 5.5 to a overall 5.6. I mean every category is 5.9 but the Memory Ops is 5.6 and that lowers the total. My machine is a 2.4ghz quad core with 4gb of ram. Its like top of the line. It breaths new life into older games like Far Cry and after some adjusting FC2 (very high settings)60fps! looks pretty good too. I did have to up date the drivers but no biggie. I paid $83 including overnight shipping. "Folks Try My Product"?

This product is obsolete. I got it to support a larger screen through DVI input on a lightly used (web & typing stuff) older machine that only has PCI slots available. Ability to play HD video was not among my requirements. I quickly found out it should have been. However, this card offers no HW acceleration for HD video and the machine itself is too slow. Doing a little more research, there are PCI (not -E) cards out there that offer more performance and even HD video acceleration for $50 or so. Other than that, the performance is satisfactory for web and typing stuff.

I have two of these in a Windows Media Center (Vista). They work flawlessly. They seem as good as the ATI/AMD 650-based cards, and a little cheaper (but no remote in the package). As for the QAM comment another reviewer made, I have not tested the vendor's application for QAM and Media Center does not support QAM, so for a QAM test I will have to wait until I can get a legal copy of "Fiji" aka "Windows Vista Media Center TV Pack 2008". Unfortunately, Microsoft seems intent on making this impossible. Please Microsoft, let us Media Center enthusiasts get hold of this update so we can see unencrypted digital cable content!
