I had researched this video card on other websites looking for a PCI video card. I have an older intel motherboard and wanted to stay with Nvidia products. Other websites showed this to be a PCI card. One of the pictures on Amazon's site shows a box saying PCI Express. This picture is not for this video card as this card is PCI, not PCI Express. I had contacted PNY after ordering this to confirm, they don't make the GeForce 8400GS in a PCI Express card. The other picture of the video card itself doesn't depict this video card either but the written info. about the video card is correct. The video card itself is easy to install, works without any problems. If you have an older motherboard that doesn't support PCI Express this is the video card for you.

This is a great video card. Easy to install and and has performed flawlessly. I do a lot of first person shooter games and other role playing games and this card has given me a new level of detail that I did not have before. Great product. For the money it can't be beat !

Used this to "revive" and old computer and to leave it with a "decent" card. This was cheap and server for the purpose.

I wanted a dual-monitor set-up for photo editing. I ordered this card based on the low price and its support for two DVI monitors on a single card. It works great for my needs. The video driver that I downloaded from the Sapphire web site works just fine on my 64-bit Vista system. As the title of my review indicates, however, I have no idea whether this card is suitable for games.

I am planning on investing in a new gaming laptop around summer time, so I didn't want to spend too much on a video card upgrade for my current desktop. The eVGA GeForce 8400 GS is a nice little card. I used it in a Linux system and had no problem with it. My experience with eVGA graphics cards has always been excellent - great performance, great price, great warranty. They're always the first ones I look to when getting a new card.

I originally was saddened very much when I learned how obsolete my old video card was. I upgraded from an ATI Radeon 9800 XT (AGP interface). I thought this card was awesome and was disappointed that it was the only thing holding me back from playing newer games such as Bioshock. My older card only had pixel shader 2.0. This was VERY depressing as I bought the computer used and wasn't looking forward to the option of having to replace the whole system. However I was surprised to see that such a good card came in the AGP format. This card is just awesome. It is however extremely long, longer then I had anticipated.
