This card is 500mhz core clock , the description for some reason says 450mhz... The card has a big heat sink and no fan which is great for keeping the computer quiet. Price point is great , its a directx 10 Vista compatible card. May not be a gamer card but if your not building a gamer rig and just need a pc that vista happy and still is great for video use then its hard to beat the price point of the card.

This is a great card. It runs all the latest games (Nov'08) with no problems.

Definitely worth it. The SSC edition is discontinued so I don't know if this will help anybody. I have an AM2 6000+ with 3GB RAM and Vista 64. Crysis rocks with this card. It plays at 1280x1024 at ultrahigh for the first couple boards, but I had to turn it down to high settings for later boards. (Including turning the resolution down for the last big boss.) My system couldn't push a 280 anyway, so this card was perfect. I wonder how much more I could get with PCI express 16x 2.0, but it does everything I want it to. The seller was A+, no complaints, and fast ship time. (Electronica Direct.) Plus the card is EVGA, so if I have a problem, EVGA has very good support and RMA.

This is mind-blowing performance, folks...it chews up every game you throw at it, and was the only card that let me play Crysis at the detail settings that I wanted to. Held out from playing until now...and man, was I glad that I did. Anti-aliasing comes almost free of any performance hit, and resolutions/quality settings previously considered ridiculously intensive for gaming are suddenly not that extravagant anymore. CFAA, especially Edge-Detect AA, deserves mention, as it is ATi's custom AA mode that kicks in at the shader level, and can thus be applied to almost any game. I had 2 requirments for a TV Tuner Card. It had to be half-height and it had to be a dual tuner (so I can record one show and watch another). This card meets the bill. So far it has worked great. Sometimes when I tune to a channel in Windows Media Center the screen is blue and I have to change channels and then go back for it to appear. I don't know if this is because of the tuner or because of something else. Other than that I really haven't had any problems. Possibly a driver update will fix that problem.

Well the card came as promised, I plugged it in and it began to work without too much problems. I did need to update drivers etc. My issue is that you hve to set the card up as either two analog tuners or two QAM tuners, which means you can either watch a QAM and record a QAM program or watch a Analog channel and record an analog channel. Well you cannot. The card should not need to be set up as one or the other it should switch back and forth on the fly (as neccesary). Hauppauge says it is a problem with Media Center not supporting the functionality. But then I tried to use there built in TV application and it doesnt get QAM at all Hauppauge says it is a problem with how comcast broadcasts there QAM signal. Souns like a big case of passing the buck to me.
