This is a zippy graphics cards for a decent price. However, it may require that you upgrade your power supply. I recently bought my 9-year old daughter and my 11-year old son new computers. What I bought was two Dell SMT-116B desk tops (2.33GHz, 6GB RAM, 750GB hard disk). The reason I bought desk tops instead of laptops was because we never travel with the kids computers anyway, and we already had good monitors that we wanted to use. At this price point (~$200) Radeon HD 4850 is a winner. There are a lot of reviews out there, so just google it if you are interested. The general problem with these cards is that they are noisy and get very hot. This particular card fortunately does not have such issues thanks to a superior cooling. It wasn't too loud to begin with and after I adjusted fans to run at 30% it became very quiet. It gets 40°C at idle and ~55°C under load.

Hey why is this 79 99 and it says 512mb but on the technical description it says 256mb ???weird huh

I bought this card to play City of Heroes. It does that very well, at max resolutions. The problem is a bad video driver makes the game crash. I had the same problem with the previous nVidia card, I was hoping this would fix it. I'm now just hoping the next driver fixes the problem. Other than that, great card, the 280 is a lot more, not sure it's worth the extra money, this one is really good performer for the money, and will save me from getting a whole new computer. The games I play run as fast as I can ask for.

This card ROCKS! Runs COD4 in medium settings. and 8xAA 16xAF; COD 2 Full High. Im Installing drivers from HIS, 8.501, no problems with drivers. I dont need install all the stuff came with the driver, like AVIVO or HIDRAVISION, cause may give you problems if you dont have HDMI. My setup: Asus A8V Deluxe, AMD 4000 Clahwammer @ 2.64 ghz.; 2gb Corsair; 120 HD Seagate; 650 OZC PSU

These are the most compatible chipsets for pro audio gear and for digital audio transfer from firewire audio cards and controllers. That's why avid and digidesign certify these cards. I had a recording issue with an M-audio projectmix io and a via chipset card and as soon as i contacted tech support they said ADS. I installed the card and in five minutes was up and running.

This is my first experience buying an accesory for my pc and so far I can say this has been a really great experience, fast service, secure, low cost, awesome card. Too bad I haven't had the time to tried it at its full capacity but is working great so far, I really do feel like this is at least 5 times better than my original card but I still need to do a lot more testing to be completely satisfied.
